Discover How You Can Naturally Lose Weight and Never Put It Back On!

Well, it’s that time of year when we make that New Year resolution.

And if you are reading this I am pretty confident that losing weight is your goal for this coming year.

And more than likely it was the same year before that too! (Don’t worry we all do it from time to time until we can learn something new.)

So what happened?

We all start with good intentions for a few months or even weeks but then we start to fall back into bad habits.

We then feel angry and frustrated and move onto the next big super fat burning wonder diet, and the cycle continues.

You may have tried, special shakes, fat free foods or even attended weekly weight loss classes.

However, let’s not forget

Eating a consistent healthy balanced diet is one of best things you can do to aid weight loss.

But, do you really know what we should be eating to give you the best possible chance to lose that weight and more importantly, keep it off for the rest of life without any worry or stress.

You are told by the nutrition experts to…

  • Eat less Gluten
  • Cut out saturated fats
  • Add more omega 3 fatty acids
  • Eats less calories

We all look on the labels and automatically think just because it has hardly any calories. It must be healthy.

And to be honest, most of us have absolutely no idea what a calorie is!

I am sure you will agree it is just too confusing!

Now, that’s exactly what journalist Michael Pollan was going through!

He was so confused and frustrated he set out to find an answer to a simple question.

What should I eat?

And, after trudging through the confusing world of nutritional science.

To his surprise, he found the answer was far simpler than he could ever imagine.

In fact, it could be boiled down to just seven words!

Eat food, Not too much, Mostly plants

Michael also broke down the seven words into simple food rules that anyone can understand and apply to their daily lives!

So, let’s find out how these seven words can help you lose weight the right way!

What you are going to learn today.

  • The number 1 thing you must do to stop the yoyo dieting cycle for good.
  • The 3 proven facts that nutritional science does not want you to know about.
  • What should I eat, Eat food
  • What kind of food should I eat, Mostly plants
  • How should I eat, Not too much

The number 1 thing you must do to stop the yo-yo dieting cycle for good!

Ok, before we start lets you and I have a little chat.

Let me ask you this?

Who do think is responsible for you failing to lose weight over and over again.

Or simply put Yo-Yo dieting.

The big food companies?

Your parents for bringing you up on an unhealthy diet of processed food and fizzy drinks?

Blame your partner that he/she is eating unhealthy food in front you when you are trying to lose weight.

NOPE! It’s YOU!

Sorry about that! But you needed to hear it!

The fact is you are the only one that is totally responsible for your life and your health.

Ok, when you were a young child you did not have the choice to be bombarded with negative influences.

However, now you are a grown adult and you can choose to do what you like.

And if we are blaming food companies, parents and partners etc. We choose to give our power to heal away!

And quite frankly that is all it is a choice!

You are in charge of your life, it does not matter how much you try to blame people and circumstances it all comes back to the choices you made.

So you may ask how I can stop all the blaming?

Well, the best place to start is right now in this very moment.

You can choose, at this very moment, that you alone are responsible for you losing weight and never, never, never (yes that’s 3 never’s) ever lose that mindset.

You see, you can only make a choice in this moment, the past is gone and unless you are Marty McFly with a DeLorean parked on the drive outside your house you do not know what’s in the future either.

So all that leaves is this moment!

Become aware of your thoughts, feelings and the way you speak.

For example…

You may be on your way home from work you are feeling tired and hungry. You start to think, I can’t be bothered to cook I will get a McDonalds.

Now that very moment is your point of power, you have choice…

Choose to have a McDonalds and most possibly really regret it later.

Or

Choose to drive straight home and cook a quick nutritious meal and be proud of yourself later.

Now ask yourself which is the best choice?

Of course, if want you to lose weight you would choose the latter.

But is it really that simple? Your mind is shouting out just get the flipping burger that’s what we always do!!!

This is the exact the moment to make the right choice! Yes it may be hard at first but the more you make the right choice the easier it will be to break the habits/choices that have been tripping you up in the past.

If you still find it difficult start to think why it’s the best choice to go home and cook.

Convince yourself that McDonald’s is bad idea…something like this…

McDonalds always busy this time of day and then I will get stuck in traffic and will be late home. So I think it would be quicker to go home and cook anyway. It’s the better choice! I know I will regret it later but be proud if I go home an eat healthily.

It then becomes a habit to make the right choice not just to lose weight but in how you live your life.

I would go as far to say, when you really start to take responsibility for your own life you will not only lose weight you will never put the weight back on unless you choose too.

But the big difference now is that you will have to break the habit of making the right choices

Which I think you agree is a good place to be.

Ok Mark, I get that I have to start making the right choice but there is so much information out there on what foods to eat, how I should eat and how much to eat.

I need to know how to eat healthy so I know I am making the right choice.

With that in mind Let’s move on!

The 3 Proven Facts That Nutritional Science Do Not Want you To Know About.

What if I told you that nutritional science only started 200 years?

To put it into comparison, nutritional science is no further ahead than surgery was in the year 1650!

Doesn’t fill you with confidence, does it!

Michael Pollan stated…

I’ve learned volumes about all we don’t know about nutrition, I’ve also learnt a small number of very important things we do not know about food and health.

In fact, there are only 2 important things you need to know about the links between diet and health

2 facts that are not in dispute!

And, even more important, these facts are sound and sturdy enough that we can build a sensible diet upon them.

However!

We are never told about this very simple fact that finally cuts through the confusion and have a simple answer to the question.

What do we really need to eat to stay healthy and to promote natural health?

Fact 1.

A population that eats a so-called western diet generally has a diet consisting of….

  • Processed foods
  • Added fat and sugar
  • Lots of refined grains
  • Saturated fats

Basically, pretty much everything except, vegetables, fruits and whole grains!

For whatever reason, this diet has become a massive problem in the western world and has a major part in manifesting and the suffering of western diseases.

  • Obesity
  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Heart disease
  • Cancer
  • To name but a few

In fact, the four of the top 10 killer diseases in America alone, are linked to poor a diet.

If we live in the west, it’s all around us! Fast food restaurants, hot dogs stands, fizzy/soda drinks and even the media bombarding us with advertising for alcoholic drinks and processed foods.

And to be honest, we never see advertising promoting fruit and vegetables. It may even feel ridiculous to many of us.

Now we know that the western diet is not a good way to go, that’s if you don’t mind manifesting any of the western diseases.

Let us move on to the next….

Fact 2

Populations, who eat a wide range or a traditional diet, mainly don’t suffer from chronic diseases.

Here are a few examples…

  • Inat in Greenland eat largely seal blubber which is high in fat.
  • The Massi in Africa have a high protein diet that mainly consists of cattle blood, meat and milk.
  • Central American Indians eat mostly maize and beans that is high in carbohydrate.

Ok, these are very extreme examples.

But the simple fact is there is no one single diet on earth that suits all our needs, it just does not exist! TWEET THIS!

Now, Michael Pollan states that there is actually a third fact!

People who get off the western diet can see their health and wellbeing dramatically turn around for the best. TWEET THIS!

As mentioned in Michaels book…

A typical American population that made even a small change that leads them towards a more traditional diet, could reduce the….

  • Chances of getting heart disease by 80%.
  • Chances of getting type 2 diabetes by 90%
  • Chances of getting Colon Cancer by 70%

But, surprisingly we’re never told any of these simple facts!

Why?

Because the diet and health industry want to create confusion which in turn keeps on making them money!

2 trillion to be exact!

There is always a new wonder diet, a special pill,

Low fat this… reduced calories that!

But the simple fact is, all we need to do is eat real food!

Now, with these 3 facts in mind Michael Pollan set out to make it so easy for his family to eat a healthy diet.

Without trying to figure out if it’s healthy or full processed ingredients.

So then, Michael set out some foods rules that can be narrowed down to just 7 words…

Eat food, Not too much, mostly plants

Below are some of the best examples of 60 of Michael’s rules. You only need nine rules…

  • 3 from eat food.
  • 3 from not too much.
  • 3 from mostly plants.

And you will quickly understand how simple eating can be.

Let’ go!

What should I eat?

Eat Food!

Rule 1

Eat food that will eventually rot!

Food processing all began to extend the shelf life of food! So! The more the food is processed the longer the shelf life.

Real food is alive and therefore it will eventually die! (Rot)

  • Vegetables
  • Fruit
  • Non-processed meat
  • Natural Grains and nuts

Rule 2

Avoid foods products with the word “light”, “low Fat” or “Non-Fat” in their names!

Just because you remove the name fat, does not mean it is not fattening or healthy. We then think we can eat more just because it says “Low Fat” on the label!

In fact, they are just as unhealthy, as they are full of refined sugars.

Since the low-fat campaigns began in late 1970, Americans actually have been eating 500 more calories per day.

And, most of these calories are in the form or refined sugars!

Rule 3

Don’t eat anything your great-grandmother wouldn’t recognise as food!

Just imagine you great-grandmother walking around your local supermarket.

I am sure you would agree most of the food on the shelf your great-grandmother would have absolutely no idea what most of the foods are.

In her day, what you might think as traditional food, was all that was to offer as food processing was probably not even been invented.

So, your grandmother would buy fresh food and then cook from scratch!

Unlike today, where we can put it in the microwave or even get it delivered to our door.

I am sure you would agree your great-grandmother’s way is so much healthier.

What kind of food should I eat?

Mostly plants!

Rule 4

Treat meat as a flavouring or a special occasion food!

Ok, it is true that you will be a lot healthier if you are a vegetarian! But this does mean you have to cut out meat altogether.

In fact, people who eat meat only twice a week are just as healthy as a vegetarian!

But, If you really want to eat meat everyday make sure there is simply more vegetables than meat on your plate!

Rule 5

Eat plants, especially leaves!

There are so many studies showing that a diet consisting of vegetables and fruits reduces the risk of all the so-called western diseases.

In fact, the countries that eats more fruit and vegetables a day, the rate of cancer is half of what it is in the United States.

That is huge!

And as an added bonus, they also live longer!

All because they eat more plants!

Rule 6

Eat your colours!

A healthy plate of food generally has bright colours!

Take a look at your fruit bowl; it’s full of reds, yellows, orange and even purples!

Even the salad in your fridge is full of colour.

Each colour has a different health benefit. So try to mix lots of different colours on your plate of food.

And you will not go far wrong!

How should I eat!

Not too much!

Rule 7

Stop eating before you are full!

The Japanese have a saying, “Hara hachi bu” Which means stop eating when you are 80% full

We all do it!

We eat so much we feel bloated or we have always been told by our parents to finish our food!

So, ask yourself?

Not, am I full? But instead is my hunger gone? This makes you think from a different angle!

Rule 8

Eat slowly!

Eat slowly enough to savour your food.

When you eat slowly,

You will then find that you will need to eat less food to feel satisfied.

Also, put down your knife and fork between each mouth full. I have tried this, and it is surprising how it slows down the way you eat. As an added bonus you enjoy the food more.

Rule 9

Use smaller plates and glasses

It’s simple really, the bigger the plate the more we will eat!

One research found that simply switching from a 12” plate to a 10” plate made us eat 22% less food.

Ok you may have to buy some more plates and glasses.

But hey! It will be worth it!

Ok there it is!

If for some reason the 9 rules I have mentioned just don’t resonate with you, there are another 51 in Michaels book Food Rules.

However!

There is one more rule I would like to share from Michael’s book.

Rule 10

Break the rules once in a while!

We are always worrying about dieting and nutrition and forget to enjoy food and life itself.

So if once in while if you want a high-fat burger, GO FOR IT!

If you are making the right choices 95% of the time, one burger is not going to harm you!

For example, my brother Craig has lost 14lbs in a month.

All Craig did was cut out the processed food and started to eat more fruit, salad, and vegetables. And instead of crisps he started eating natural nuts.

But what he did say to me, I will never forget it! Here is what he said:

Yes I have got into the habit of eating healthy but I will never give up my beer on the weekend and if I want a burger after a night out or have a takeaway, I am going to have it!

Ok, Craig might have lost more weight if he did not have the beer or the burger!

However, because Craig had changed his overall habits around his daily diet he will lose the weight anyway!

Oh Yes! I forgot to mention! Craig never even knew about these rules when he started, he figured it out himself!

So, you only need to pick 1 rule from each section EAT FOOD, MOSTLY PLANTS AND NOT TOO MUCH.

And know that you too can lose weight the right way.

Above all, choose to make a positive change towards a long and healthy life!

Because this is all it is… a choice!

Ok, that’s all for now.

Actually wait, no I think I have time to create a quick video for you which may help too. Here it is:

Ok, that truly is all for now.

12 totally natural ways to stop and prevent a headache without popping a pill.

Got a headache eh!

With all the stresses of modern life, it’s really not that surprising we get painful headaches.

Traffic jams, work issues, late nights or even sorting out the children in the mornings to get ready for school.

I’m sure you could add much more to that list!

And then on top of all that we have a painful headache.

And if we are completely honest with ourselves we would go straight for the aspirin or ibuprofen.

In fact, we would do almost anything to make the pain go away.

So!

What if I told you not only can you cure a painful headache without resorting to any medication, but also you can prevent.

Well! That is exactly what I am going show you!

In fact,

let’s get to it!

What you are going to learn…

  • Types of headaches and what the triggers are.
  • 5 totally natural ways to get rid of that headache.
  • 7 natural ways to prevent headaches ruining your life.

Types of headaches and what the triggers are.

You may be thinking to yourself a headache is a headache!

But the fact is there are 150 types of headaches!

Now before you leave and go a check Facebook, we are only going to cover the 4 most common headaches.

Of course, check with your doctor to make sure you have the right diagnosis so that you know there are no other serious underlying problems.

But to point you in the right direction and have some idea what type of headache you are suffering from here is a simple guide to show what signs you should be looking out for…

Tension headaches

This is by far the most common headache we will be talking about today. It affects mainly teenagers and adults.

The pain is not so as intense as, let’s say a migraine.

Neither the less, tension headaches can be very uncomfortable.

The pain is felt across the forehead and can happen at any time, depending on a daily routine.

The Triggers

  • Alcohol
  • Eye strain (staring at a computer screen for too long)
  • Tiredness and fatigue
  • Smoking
  • Cold conditions
  • Driving for long periods
  • Stress
  • Not drinking enough water

Migraines

When we have a painful headache we assume it must be a migraine.

That is not always the case.

A migraine is often described as a deep throbbing pain that can last hours and even days in some cases

A migraine suffer describes that they are sensitive to flashing lights, loud noises, blurry vision and even experience the feeling of nausea.

The triggers

  • Processed foods
  • Missing meals
  • Old mature cheese
  • Bright lights
  • Continuous load noise
  • Caffeine
  • Change in weather pressure
  • Too much medication

Cluster headaches

People who suffer from cluster headaches describe them as an intense piercing pain behind one of the eyes that can last up to 15 minutes to as long as 2 hours.

The pain can be so bad that people begin to pace up and down to try and get away from the pain in some way.

Suffers also notice that there is redness around the eye and may even have some tears.

However, it’s also one of the most painful!

Triggers

  • Cigarette smoke
  • Too much alcohol
  • Flashing lights
  • Lack of sleep
  • Too much intense exercise
  • Dehydrated

Sinus headaches

This type of headache is caused when your sinuses get inflamed (sinus infection)

People experiencing a sinus headache usually have a runny nose with bright green mucus and a feeling of heaviness around the ears.

In some cases, people may have a fever and even a swollen face.

Triggers

  • Weather starts to cool down
  • Clocks go back
  • Change in sleep patterns
  • Home cleaners
  • Mould and damp conditions
  • Inhaling smoke

Ok, you now know the 4 most common headaches and there triggers.

However, I’m sure you would agree all of the above information is no good to us unless we can actually stop the pain and get rid of a headache.

As stated before the easy option is to go straight for pills.

But the fact is there are natural ways to stop a headache right in its tracks.

Whether that is a tension headache, migraine, cluster headache or even a sinus type headache.

So if you are ready, let’s move on to the next step…

5 totally natural ways to remove that headache.

1. Drinking water

I personally like this one; the reason is I know it works.

Why?

Well, I feel Dr Fereydoon Batmanghelidj from Masaru Emoto’s book ‘The Healing Power of Water’ explains it quite well.

It is chronic water shortage in the body that causes most diseases of the human body.

Dehydration is one of the main causes of headaches, so drinking some water as soon as you feel a headache coming on is going to be a massive help in stopping that headache pain.

This can happen quicker than you think! Depending on how dehydrated you are.

So when you feel a headache coming on…

  1. Start by drinking a glass or two of water.
  2. Continue taking small sips of water to keep the water flowing into your system.
  3. After about half an hour in you still have a headache, repeat until you feel relief from the pain.
  4. Keep drinking water throughout the rest of your day.

A quick tip! Do not drink water that is ice cold; try to drink water at room temperature. I am sure you have experienced brain freeze, not cool!

And seeing as prevention is better than cure here is a quick guide to how much water to drink daily to keep hydrated.

2. Body relaxation

As a certified hypnotherapist, I know this is right up there as a top natural headache buster!

When we experience a painful headache we are more than likely stressed tense and overwhelmed.

So any form of relaxation is going to release all of the stress that is causing your headache.

Here are some of the most effective relaxation techniques for you try

First up is…

Mediation
Meditation has been used for thousands of years to help relax the mind and body.

If you have never tried it, you are in for a real treat.

Just watch the video and let me guide you through a meditation that will not only relax you but also help you get rid of that headache.

Hope you enjoyed that!

On to the next…

3. Deep breathing

Deep breathing or belly breathing is another relaxation technique that can help to release the tension and stress that may be causing your headache.

You can do it anywhere at any time as long as you are not driving or using machinery that needs your undivided attention.

And the best part, it is very simple to learn,

Just one thing…

Just don’t fall asleep!  Joking aside, here are the steps…

  1. If possible, find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed.
  2. Start to take notice of your breathing.
  3. Now take in 3 deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
  4. Try to get into a rhythm… breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, out for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds and repeate.
  5. On each out-breath relax deeper and deeper, feel yourself sinking into the chair.
  6. Keep going around 4 minutes or until you feel you are ready to come back to full awareness.

How easy was that!

I have used this many times to release discomfort. And it works for me every time. It is not just me who uses that technique to ease discomfort the Navy Seals and Eastern Mystics do too!

In fact, you can even do this standing up!

Ok, let’s move on to the next…

4. Visualisation

Try the visualisation below and let me know how much it helps your headache disappear.

5. Darkroom Relaxing

This may sound a little strange but it is a fantastic way to relieve headache pain.

When you feel a headache coming on stop whatever you are doing and find a dark quiet room. If you cannot find a dark room wear an eye mask to cover your eyes.

Tell the people around you that you do not want to be disturbed for 20 minutes, especially if you are in a room with people around you.

Make yourself comfortable and close your eyes and simply relax. You may also want to combine one of the above relaxation techniques to deepen your calmness.

You will be pleasantly surprised how effective this works.

Now that you have the natural tools in your locker to remove a headache there, hopefully, will be no need whatsoever to reach for a painkiller ever again.

In fact, I would go as far to say from personal experience that the natural techniques above are much more effective than a headache pill.

However!

I’m sure you would agree, preventing a headache is far better than having a headache.

As the saying goes “Prevention is better than cure!

Of course, there are going to be times when a painful headache will rear its ugly head but the percentage of headaches will be reduced dramatically.

Let’s move on to the next step.

7 natural ways to prevent headaches ruining your life.

1. Regular exercise

In my opinion, exercise is an absolute must if we are serious about preventing headaches.

But, you have to be consistent!

The key to getting into the habit of regular exercise is…

Enjoyment!

If you enjoy it, it does not feel like exercise!

Here are a few examples that have been proven to lower blood pressure.

  • Walking
  • Swimming
  • Cycling
  • Dancing
  • Or even yoga

Do a bit of research, find an exercise you enjoy and keep at it!

You will be absolutely amazed at the results!

2. Healthy diet

There’s much confusion about what the most effective healthy diet is.

But in fact! It’s really simple!

Stop eating:

  • Saturated fatty food
  • Fizzy drinks
  • Processed food/meat
  • Too much alcohol

I think you get the picture! Not very healthy!

So! Instead of eating and drinking that stuff!

Try eating:

  • Fruit
  • Vegetables
  • Lean meat
  • Whole grains
  • Natural nuts
  • Unprocessed fish

Now, this is real food that will not only help prevent headaches. It will also make you feel healthier.

The late Louise L Hay summed up healthy eating in only a few words…

If it grows eat it!

If it doesn’t grow don’t eat it!

I told you it was simple!

It does not need any explaining

If you want to learn more about how to eat healthily read this article.

3. Cut down on the alcohol

Now I am not saying you have to give up alcohol altogether.

In fact, small amounts of alcohol can actually be good for you!

However, if you are having a drink every day, then you’re probably drinking too much and can actually increase the occurrences of your headaches

To combat this…

Save drinking alcohol for the weekends or on special occasions.

You will also find that you will look forward to it more which also adds to the enjoyment!

Try it, it really does work!

4. If you smoke. Quit smoking

I’m sure you know that smoking is bad for you.

Not only preventing headaches but also for lots of other major health problems.

In fact, people of any age that stop smoking will not only be much healthier in general, they will actually change the day they die!

You may have tried to give up before or you are still struggling to give up smoking?

Try one of these options…

  • Nicotine patches/tablets
  • Hypnotherapy
  • Support group

The fact is anyone who has quit smoking will tell you that not only do they not get so many headaches but they also feel a lot fitter!

So if it works for them then it can work for you!

5. Get a good nights sleep

Adults should be having at the very least 7 to 8 hours of sleep.

If you are having trouble sleeping you may want to look at your bedtime routine.

Try this before you go to bed every night

  • Don’t eat and drink anything 2 hours before you go to bed
  • If you can try to start winding down. Dim the lights or light some candles to create a relaxing atmosphere.
  • When you feel yourself getting tired make your way to your bed. If you have a TV in your room unplug it or remove it completely. Your bed is now only for making love and sleeping!
  • Once you are in bed focus on your breathing until you drop off into a deep sleep. If you still find it difficult to drop off to sleep one of the relaxation methods we spoke about earlier should help.

The key to this method is keeping the same routine 95% of the time.

Give it a go you have nothing to lose!

6. Staying hydrated

We spoke earlier about how to stop a headache when it rears its ugly head with drinking lots of water.

But what I did not mention is that if you have a headache your body is already shouting give me some freaking water right now!

So, the best way to prevent yourself getting dehydrated is to drink plenty of water throughout your day.

This is a good habit to get into!

7. Reduce stress

This is by far the most effective thing you can do right now if want to prevent headaches occurring on a regular basis

Chronic stress is a major contributor in developing frequent headaches and other chronic health problems

With our busy lives, we are always on the go and more than likely do not even know we are even feeling stressed!

But, everybody reacts to stress in different ways, so it can be hard to nail down what you’re actually stressed about!

But!

Our behaviours and action can give us clues…

  • Eating too much
  • Drinking too much alcohol
  • Smoking
  • Out of character mood swings
  • Withdrawn

Also, we need to a step back and look at what our stress triggers are!

Basically, what is worrying you the most?

It may be…

  • Work problems
  • Family issues
  • Money problems
  • Chronic illness

The good news is!

That once you know what the problems are you can manage your stress more effectively!

Here are some ways you can manage stress more effectively…

Don’t expect too much of yourself

Trying to please everyone and control every situation is impossible.

But there are small things that you can do to reduce stress.

For example…

You may be rushing around in the mornings to get ready for work because in the back of your mind if I don’t leave soon I am going to be stuck in traffic for hours!

Why not try getting up a bit earlier or have everything ready the night before. Just through planning and change of routine, your stress could be reduced.

This simple change will give more time in the mornings instead of rushing around and feeling stressed.

Also, throughout the day, if you feel that you don’t have the time to do a task, learn to say no!

We have all been there, we said yes to something and then realised we have little or no time to do it.

So, we try to fit it in or rush it! Mainly because we don’t want to let the person down!

But if you said no! Sorry! I have not got the time I am sure the person would be fine with it! And find someone else or just wait until you do have the time?

There are only 24 hours in the day, not 30. as much as we wish that were the case.

Talk to them

This may also apply to family and friends or even the mortgage company!

If you talk to them about your problems in my experience it can be a massive relief. It’s better than burying our heads in the sand and hoping the problem will just go away.

In fact, just simply talking about our problems can be enough to reduce stress in our lives.

Now, you may have a boss that is always on your case, always putting you down and you are just plain fed up with it!

It just seems to be you!

Why not try talking to him/her face to face.

Ok, it might be a bit scary. At least you will get an answer either way!

The thing is your boss might be having his own problems, and therefore might not even know that you’re feeling this way.

So a simple chat just might make your boss realise how he/she has been treating you!

Of course, you may get a negative reaction?

So you may want to start looking at other options! Like getting another job!

The thing is your health is more important!

Make time relax!

For me, as a hypnotherapist, taking the time to relax is one of the most important things you can do to reduce stress.

And one the best ways to relax is through your breathing.

You only need 15 to 20 minutes a day and a place where you will not be disturbed. The best times are either in the morning just as you wake up or just before you go to sleep.

Whatever you choose just make sure you don’t speed through it!

This is your time to relax and to enjoy the experience.

To start to relax, close your eyes and gently breathe in through your nose and slowly out through your mouth.

Try to get into a nice slow rhythm,

If any thoughts come up just let them go.

This may take a bit of getting used too, as your mind is always bringing up thoughts.

4 steps on how to quit smoking for good and never look back!

If you are reading this right now I will assume you want to give up smoking.

Or you‘re seriously thinking about it!

Now at this point I could give you a lecture on how bad smoking is for your health.

But you already know that!

Even when the packet of cigarettes has graphic pictures to try to put you off taking another puff of the chemically enhanced killing stick.

And do they work? NO!

So! I am going take it that you are really serious about kicking your smoking habit right out of your life for good, to give yourself the best chance to longer!

If you are still here I will take that as a YES!

Let’s get to it…

What you are going to learn from this post

  • Why your smoking addiction is more than just a habit.
  • 4 steps to quit smoking for good and never look back!
  • Discover what happens to your lungs when you stop smoking.
  • The number one thing you must do if you have a relapse.

Why your smoking addiction is more than just a habit!

As I mentioned earlier I’m not going to go on about why smoking is bad for you. You just need to know how to quit!

And let’s get real here it is not going to be a walk in the park either!

If you have tried to give up before you know first-hand what a challenge it can be. With the obvious addiction, smoking is also part of your life.

  • You are always taking smoking breaks at work with your workmates…
  • Every time you have a drink you feel that you have a cigarette…
  • Most of your family and friends you socialise with, regularly smoke, which are always sharing cigarettes…
  • When you feel under pressure you go straight for the packet of cigarettes…
  • You simply enjoy smoking…
  • At certain times of the day, you have to have a smoke, maybe first thing in the morning or just before you go into work.

Does it sound familiar to you?

More than likely the answer is yes! In fact you may have more to add to that list.

This is why it is not only tough to stop the addition; you also have to come to terms that your day to day routine is going to have to change.

In fact, I would go as far to say that your addiction to smoking and you daily routine is like a deadly partnership.

However!

This does not mean it is not possible to give up smoking. Thousands of people are giving up this deadly habit every single day.

So there is absolutely no reason why you cannot do the same.

With that in mind let’s show you how to quit smoking and never look back!

4 steps to quit smoking for good and never look back!

Step 1. Give yourself a reason.

If you don’t have a goal to work towards to keep you motivated you will probably full of the wagon very quickly.

So you have got to ask yourself “why do I need to give up?”

Your answer may be something like this…

  • I want to be able to play with my kids without getting out of breath.
  • Want to feel healthier and live longer so that I can be with my family as long as possible.
  • Set a good example to your children.
  • Treat yourself with the money you have saved.

Of course, this is very personal to you.

Now you have your goal, write it down on a small piece of paper in the present tense.

Here is example…

“Now that I have given up smoking I am so happy that I can run around with my kids without getting out of breath”

Or it could even be a picture of your kids?

Whatever you choose, carry this small piece of paper around everywhere you go. You could even put it in the packet of cigarettes.

Also, write on the piece of paper a set date when you will have given up completely.

This will give the motivation to keep on track.

Step 2. Tell everyone that you know.

Be brave! Tell everyone you know that you will have given up smoking by your set date and tell them why you are giving up.

While you are on a roll, also ask them not to smoke around you and don’t offer you cigarettes.

This will give you, even more, motivation to give up smoking, even if it is to avoid them, I told you so speech.

You may find that someone will try to give up smoking as well; they just needed the incentive to do it.

Step 3. Your triggers and routine.

As you start on your journey to kick your smoking habit you are going to notice when you crave a cigarette the most.

As we talked about before, your smoking habit is ingrained in your day to day routine that we do not even notice the patterns until we start to give up smoking.

It’s only then we start to realise when our cravings at their strongest.

For example;

  • When you are at your local bar, you have a drink in your hand and you need to have something to put in your mouth (i.e. a cigarette)
  • Early mornings as you wake up or with cup of coffee in the morning you need to have a craving for a cigarette.
  • Lunch breaks at work or just before work you feel the need to have a smoke.
  • When you feel under pressure, like at work, for example, you reach straight for the packet of cigarettes

Once you know what your triggers and routines you will find it far much easier to control them.

Step 4. Dealing with cravings

Knowing how to deal with a craving when it rears its ugly head is must if you are going to be successful in reaching your goal to give smoking.

So to keep you on track here are some simple ways to beat those cravings.

A.

If you get the urge to put something in your mouth (i.e. cigarette) try to have a healthy snack close to hand.

  • Carrot
  • Celery
  • Apple
  • Nuts

Do whatever you think would work for you; try to keep it healthy if you can.

B.

10 minutes of regular exercise a day is a great way to lower the intensity of your cravings. You will also feel much healthier and happier.

In fact, making overall better health and lifestyle choices, alongside regular exercise is not only good to help stop the cravings.

But also combat the weight gain ex-smokers experience once they have given up smoking.

Here are a few suggestions…

  • Healthy balanced diet ( link to food rules post)
  • Breathing exercises.
  • Making sure you are getting enough sleep.
  • Drink plenty of water.

C.

Try to distract yourself when you experience a craving by trying to keep busy

This will take your mind of the thought of having another cigarette. Just make sure you don’t procrastinate, once you start to feel like you want have sneaky smoke do something else to distract yourself as quickly as possible!

  • Cooking
  • If you have a child, play a game with them.
  • Listen to some music
  • Find a hobby or a sport that enjoy
  • Take a shower
  • Go for a run
  • Look at your written goal.

Basically, anything you can think of that will stop you thinking about your craving.

Ok, let’s move on…

You are now well on your way to nicotine freedom.

You may be thinking, is all this work making any difference to my long term health.

When I have given up smoking for good how long will it take to be as healthy as person who has never smoked?

Keep reading and I will show…

Discover what happens to my lungs when I stop smoking?

Conventional medicine has brainwashed us into thinking our bodies are weak and needs all the help it can get to recover from disease and chronic pain.

This is simply not true!

Our bodies and minds are super healing machines, this never stops! No matter what your age!

In fact, you could not stop this healing power it if wanted to!

Do you realise your body is not the same as it was yesterday and it will not be the same tomorrow or the day after that.

That includes your cells, skin, muscles, bones and of course your lungs. In fact, your whole body is rebuilding itself every single minute.

So now that you know this do think that your lungs and overall health can improve. Or even go back to the same as a healthy person who has never smoked in their life.

Well in short, yes!

And this is what happens when you stop smoking.

The number one thing you must do if you relapse

You may be thinking 20 years is a long time,

But the fact is, it will be even longer if do not start right now!

As I have shown you, your body is well on its way to recovery after only 3 days!

However!

This was never going to be a walk in the park and you may have a relapse and have a quick cigarette or two.

If this does happen, don’t be too hard on yourself. Most smokers may have as much as 5 relapses and still manage to quit.

Relapses happen often happen in the first week.

If this does happen to you, don’t give up! Brush yourself down and go again.

My advice is don’t hang about, do it as quick as possible, don’t start thinking all the negative thoughts on that why’s and how’s.

It’s in the past there is nothing you can do about it now!  Don’t procrastinate, move on!

Here is a video I created a little while ago regarding procrastination, it may have a few nuggets to help you get started:

Remember thousands of smokers are giving up every day and there is no reason at all that you cannot give smoking as well.

You also have a great resource in front of you right now to give up smoking and never look back.

Let me know below if this was any help in any way. Maybe you could share this with someone who has struggled to give up in the past.

After all, it’s free!

That’s all for today speak soon,

Healing, Pain

How to naturally heal yourself from Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is one of the most common chronic pain conditions that people suffer with.

So if you are struggling to cope with this life sucking chronic disease.

You are not alone!

It’s estimated Fibromyalgia affects 10 million people, just in the US alone…

And to make matters worse.

Your doctor will find it difficult to pin down a diagnosis.

So, how do we know if we might have Fibromyalgia?

And more importantly, how do we treat it naturally?

Let’s find out!

What you are going to learn

  • What is Fibromyalgia?
  • What are the symptoms?
  • How to live with Fibromyalgia.
  • How to heal yourself from Fibromyalgia.

What is Fibromyalgia?

If we want to treat this life sucking chronic disease. We have to know what we are dealing with.

We need to know what Fibromyalgia is…

Only then can we move forward and take back control of our lives.

Ok, let’s get to it.

Fibromyalgia or Fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) is a condition where the constant pain is felt throughout the body.

Women are 10 times more likely to manifest the disease than men.

People suffering from Fibromyalgia also experience tender points at various points on the body

This could include muscle cramps and joint pain to name but a few.

Another side effect is feeling tired or fatigued, which can lead to anxiety and depression.

Now I’m sure you would like me to say there is one test that gives an accurate diagnosis.

I am sorry to say there is not!

The fact is your GP or even a specialist will have their work cut out just to nail down a concrete diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. It gets worse, (I know I’m laying it on thick but it will get better I promise!)

And when your GP finally sits you down and says “I’m sorry you have Fibromyalgia”

You will find out that conventional medicine has no cure for Fibromyalgia.

Amazing isn’t it! All the research and Billions of $$$$$$$$ and yet conventional medicine have no cure!

Except giving you painkillers and the advice that you are going to have to live with it! I am sure you agree that is not what you want to hear.

However!

There are things we can do ourselves that have dramatic results on how we cope with this life sucking disease on daily basis.

As I will show you later, even though conventional medicine has no cure for Fibromyalgia this does not mean Fibromyalgia cannot be cured.

There are many proven cases of ordinary people just like you and me that are now living a life without the stranglehold of pain all over the body and all the other symptoms that come with Fibromyalgia.

Before I show you how you can cope of even heal from Fibromyalgia we need to know what the symptoms are.

Of course, you will need to check with your local GP to confirm if you have the disease.

So here are the main symptoms of Fibromyalgia to look for…

What are the most common symptoms?

I spoke about some of the symptoms briefly at the start of this post, so now we are going to look at the most common symptoms.

  1. Pain
  2. People suffering from FMS experience pain all over the body. The pain can be unique to each individual person.

    Here are some examples…

    • A deep sharp pain.
    • Dull and throbbing pain,
    • Aching pain in the muscles and tendons (especially around the joints)
    • Joints are tender to the touch.
  1. Tiredness and Fatigue
  2. We all feel tired from time to time but this is a walk in the park compared to what FMS sufferers experience on day to day basis.

Just think of the last time you had the flu or you had been travelling for many hours and even how simple tasks seemed impossible to carry out because you were so tired.

Well, this is what an average Fibromyalgia sufferer will experience most of the day and night.

I am sure you would agree this will dramatically affect our lives in general, such as work, shopping and even socialising.

  1. Restless sleep
  2. It goes with saying that if you are in constantly in pain then getting a refreshing night’s sleep is going to be, let’s say a little difficult!

If you turn over in the night you are going to be disturbed with a shot of pain on a joint that is tender to the touch.

And even if an FMS sufferer does manage to sleep, they generally still feel tired and fatigued when they get up in the morning.

This also leads to lack of concentration or as many FMS describe it ‘mental fog’, you may have heard the nickname “fibro fog”

  1. Headaches
  2. Another common side effect is a throbbing headache that is usually around the temples or above the eyes.

The pain can move down the neck and even as far as the shoulders.

Sufferers of Fibromyalgia claim that the pain is far worse than a normal headache, such as a migraine for example.

Also, one of the main differences is that bright lights or even a loud noise will trigger a headache and could last for as much as two days.

  1. Depression
  2. With all the daily challenges while living with Fibromyalgia it really is not surprise sufferers develop depression.

They have to deal with the lack of sleep, headaches and not to mention the constant pain. Also, we may have to give up activities that we enjoyed that made us happy.

The fact is depression affects each person differently and cannot just be linked to Fibromyalgia.

You need to find out what your own stress triggers are and get support if needed.

As stated before Fibromyalgia is a complicated disease. So my advice is if you feel that you have FMS, take a visit to your GP.

And if you do get the news that you have Fibromyalgia at least you can start to do something about it. Or at the very least make it easier to cope with.

In fact, let’s do that right now!

How to live with Fibromyalgia.

Ok, let’s say, for argument sake, that you have been given the news that you have Fibromyalgia.

Your GP may give medication to cope with the symptoms such as:

  • Tramadol (strong pain killer)
  • Antidepressants (improve function and pain relief)
  • Medication used to Parkinson Disease patients

These may be affective, but in the long term they are not getting to the real cause of the problem.

This is where Complementary Therapies can help…

  1. Acupuncture
  2. I am sure you have heard of acupuncture before. But what you may not know is that the Chinese have used acupuncture to treat chronic pain for 4000 years.

It works by inserting needles into certain points on the body called acupoints. These points are located along what is known as meridians.

This releases blocked energy in the body and allowing the natural flow of healing energy called Qi.

So if you have, let’s say a headache! An acupuncture practitioner would locate the point on your body where the energy is blocked; it may be a combination of many points that is causing the blocked energy.

He or she would insert the needles and twist them to releases the energy/pain. In this case your headache.

Acupuncture is used by 3.1 Million Americans each year to cope with chronic pain like Fibromyalgia.

I am no expert in this field so if you would like to learn more here is a link.

  1. Exercise
  2. Really! Mark, are you serious!

I thought I had to rest and reduce my activity not start going for runs around the block!

Yes ok, it used to be advised by doctors that any exercise would increase the development of Fibromyalgia.

But now scientific research has proved that light daily exercise is beneficial to control the symptoms of Fibromyalgia.

Here are some that you may want to try…

    • Swimming
    • Light stretching
    • Yoga
    • Tai chi
    • Pilates

Further research studies have also shown that regular exercise boosts natural endorphins in the body. This not only helps reduce pain but also helps to reduce stress and anxiety and not to mention depression.

Start off slow at the beginning and then increase the intensity as you feel more confident.

If you do, I am sure you will be amazed by the results.

  1. Chiropractic treatment
  2. Chiropractic treatment is a popular complementary treatment for chronic pain associated with Fibromyalgia.

The idea around Chiropractic treatment is that the body is a self-healing machine. The goal of the Chiropractor is to reduce pain and discomfort by using precise movements around the spinal vertebrae.

This allows restricted or even slightly out of alignment bones to be released and put back into the natural position.

And in turn, you would feel less pain and discomfort.

Here are some of the most common problems that are treated by a Chiropractor…

    • Fibromyalgia (pressure points)
    • Joint pain
    • Headaches
    • Back pain
    • Muscle cramps

If you are interested and want to find out more here are some links for more in-depth information…

    http://www.therapy-directory.org.uk/articles/chiropractor.html

    http://www.fmauk.org/general-articles-highlights-208/259-pulled-prodded-and-cracked

  1. Massage therapy
  2. There are many types of massage you could try that will help you with the symptoms of Fibromyalgia.

    • Reflexology
    • Swedish massage
    • Trigger point therapy
    • Hot stone massage

The only thing I would say is that you make sure they are experienced in dealing with Fibromyalgia patients.

Whichever one you choose studies has shown that it helps with a wide variety of Fibromyalgia symptoms…

  • Improved sleep
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Pain and stiffness
  • Fatigue

Do a bit of research and choose one that you feel is right for you. I am sure you will see the changes in your life.

How to heal yourself from Fibromyalgia

Ok now we have shown you how you can cope with Fibromyalgia. Whether you use the conventional medicine route or maybe even complimentary treatments.

Of course, it could be a combination of both!

The problem is that they are not a cure for Fibromyalgia, even though they are very effective at treating the symptoms.

However!

Fibromyalgia is curable!

There are hundreds of testimonials from people like you and me who have healed themselves completely from Fibromyalgia.

Just type “examples of people healing themselves from Fibromyalgia” into Google and take a look for yourself.

But your doctor will tell you that there is no cure! Even though there is evidence proves otherwise.

Look!

Today’s multi-billion dollar medical systems and doctors only look at the symptoms…

If we are in pain we are given medication.

If we are feeling depressed we are given anti-depressants.

And if we are still in pain we are most likely given stronger medication.

Ok, it might help with the pain and discomfort for a short period of time but when the effects of the medication wear off, we are back to feeling the pain and discomfort.

And to make matters worse you cannot take another pill because you are only allowed to take a certain amount of the medication in 24 hours.

The only way to stop this vicious cycle is to take personal responsibility and look to treat the underlying cause of the disease, in this case, Fibromyalgia.

When it comes to sufferers of chronic pain such as Fibromyalgia, back pain, joint pain and even cancer in some cases, there is a common underlying cause.

Repressed anger!

What is going on in your life that is making you angry?

  • Fed up with your boss nagging at you every day
  • Living with abusive partner
  • Angry that you always have to put your life on hold to please others.
  • Angry at that the doctors just do not believe you are in so much pain, just because they can find it on an X-ray.

It could be something that happened in the past that still makes you angry!

  • Still angry that your partner left you with nothing.
  • Angry you have not seen your children because your ex will not let you see them.
  • You were abused in some way when you were little.
  • Your mum or dad did not show you any love when you were a child.

Now this anger is like blowing up a balloon. The balloon can only take so much air (anger!) before it cannot take any more and the balloon goes bang.

In your life time, you have been storing all this anger and it has got to come out!

And more than likely the anger will manifest as pain in the body.

You may have heard of a man called Dr Sarno, if you have never heard of him here is a video where he talks about emotions like anger and how releasing it cures people from lower back pain.

However, as you will see the same applies to other chronic diseases that doctors cannot find a cure for.

Take look…

Ok we know that it is more than likely that anger is causing our pain and discomfort

But how do we release this anger?

How anger manifests as pain in the body and how you can deal with it.

While we are bottling up our emotions our nervous system activates our fight, flight or freeze response without us being consciously aware of it.

As this is going on, oxygen in our blood is directed to all the major organs ready to deal with any threat.

And this means the smaller parts of the body such as our muscles, nerves, joints and tendons receive very little oxygen.

This all creates tension and physical pain in the body. It’s really that simple!

This all comes from when we were cavemen/women dealing with the very real threat of a sabre tooth tiger attacking us from anywhere, anytime!

Of course, we do not have to deal with all this sort of nonsense nowadays. We have other problems!

  • Striving for perfection
  • Always working hard
  • Worrying about everything
  • Very competitive
  • Critical of themselves
  • Low self-esteem

But the fight, flight response is still within us. Still protecting us!

So, how do you control this natural response?

In short, through your breathing!

Now, I am talking about slow deep breathing.

There are some techniques that help you control your breathing, Such as, Hypnosis, meditation or even visualisation.

But if you want quick results,

There is a great technique called belly breathing!

Here is a free mp3 that I have personally created for you.

Download the Belly Breathing mp3

So whenever you are in pain or feel stressed find a quiet place and listen to the mp3.

You will be absolutely blown away with the results.

We have now come to the end of our little chat and now it is time to take action.

Go back to the start and really give it a go, what is the best that can happen?

I believe in you; you can do this!

But, as always if you have any questions, and I mean any!

Feel free to contact me and share this post with anyone who is suffering from fibromyalgia or any other chronic disease, it could change their life!

Also, please leave a comment below to let me know how fibromyalgia affects your life and if this post has helped in any way.

Look forward to hearing from you!

10 things you must know if want to live cancer free

Do you have a history of cancer in your family?

If not, I’m sure you must know someone who has lost their life to cancer.

Even though it’s a terrible fact, it’s really no surprise!

According to the National Cancer Institute, in 2016 there were 1,685,210 of new cases of cancer with 595.690 deaths.

And it seems we are no nearer having a cure for cancer than we were 10 years ago.

However,

The odds of surviving cancer are so much greater if you take responsibility and look after your health and well-being.

Like they say “Prevention is better than cure!”

In fact, there are so many things we can do to prevent us getting cancer, it just means making some better choices.

So let me show you how!

What you are going to learn

  • The reason why prevention is better than cure
  • 10 things you can do right now to prevent cancer
  • Why taking action is the key to surviving cancer

The reason why prevention is better than cure.

First of all, I want you to think of owning a car.

It has a check-up/service; you repair any dents and scratches and check the oil levels.

You don’t make the mistake that you think you have a monster truck, and take it over rocky tracks that damage the suspension!

And of course, if there is anything major you will take it to a garage to be repaired.

Basically, it’s your responsibility to do anything to keep it on the road!

Now, if you did not do anything and just hoped it would be ok, I’m sure you would agree your car would not last very long.

It would either have lots of problems that would just keep getting worse and worse.

Maybe the engine would blow up because there is no oil in the engine.

Or like I did once, you put the wrong fuel in and damaged the whole engine.

Your mind and body are no different!

You need to have regular check-ups with your doctor to see if there is anything majorly wrong. I.e. cancer!

Even more so, if you are over the age of 50.

Also, making sure you are putting the right fuel/food into your body so it does not damage your engine/body.

Like your car.

It’s your responsibility to look after yourself so you can prevent developing major problems in the future.

And it’s not just cancer! Also heart disease, Joint problems, High blood pressure or even stress and anxiety, to name but a few.

I am sure you agree that prevention is far better than just hoping you will not break down!

Now it’s not beyond the realms of possibility you could make all the right choices and still get cancer.

Like your car, some things are just out of your control.

  • There are things that you can control and can change,
  • Other things you can influence and persuade others to change and finally
  • There are those things that you cannot

“Control the controllable” as the saying goes.

“You take control of those things that you can control” says Stephen Covey

However,

And there is still something you can do for the things you cannot control

Thomas Miller in his book “How to want what you have” suggested that if we cannot change it, we must accept it.

This enables us not to suffer and to be aware of what is going on.

What the hell does that mean! You may ask!

Well.

If you have cancer you are probably suffering with pain and stress on a daily bases, because you want the situation to be different.

Basically, it’s getting too much!

But even then, we do have a choice!

There are things we can do to reduce the suffering. (more on that later)

Only if we accept what is going on now can we make choices that improve our life and reduce our suffering.

The reality is, if what we are doing now is not working, and then we can change our behaviour to give ourselves the best possible chance of surviving.

Instead of burying our head in the sand and hoping it will be ok!

“Suffering is to want reality to be different from how it is” TWEET THIS

Or as Byron Katie puts it “When you argue with reality, you always lose – but only 100% of the time” and “I am a lover of what is, not because I’m a spiritual person, but because it hurts when I argue with reality.”

Every expert will confirm that if you make the right choices, you will dramatically reduce the risk of developing cancer or any of the other major diseases.

Even if we develop cancer we can still make good lifestyle choices that not only helps prevent the situation getting worse but may even cure the cancer altogether.

It’s a win – win!

Yes, it may be scary and I’m not saying it is going to be easy.

But, if you know you are making poor choices and don’t make the change now you will be putting yourself at risk of a doctor someday giving you some very bad news!

Whether that is cancer or another life threating disease.

But!

Making the right choices can be difficult if we don’t have the facts!

10 shocking facts about cancer that you need to know right now!

10 shocking facts about cancer

I am sure you agree, they are quite shocking facts.

But, instead of thinking how terrible they are, use it to your advantage.

Say to yourself I’m not going to be another statistic!

I am going to start making better choices right now in this very moment that will increase my chances of avoiding cancer!

So! If your family has a history of cancer, it does not mean you will get it too!

In fact, it’s more likely that lifestyle is the reason our families has a history of developing cancer.

To break that cycle, all we have to do is to simply make better lifestyle choices.

Ok Mark, I now know that prevention is the best course of action.

But how do I know I am putting myself at risk of getting cancer?

I am glad you asked!

Well, prevention has a lot to do with our lifestyle. We are all going about our daily lives walking around with blind folds on.

Never stopping and taking that blindfold off and really looking at how our lifestyle is affecting our mind and bodies, not just us but our loved ones too.

Or in this case cancer!

So to bring you up to speed…

6 things you can do right now that drastically prevents you from getting cancer!

1 Eating a healthy diet

The first and one of the most important is eating a healthy diet.

According to cancer research UK, our diet has been linked to many different cancers:

  • Mouth cancer
  • Upper throat cancer
  • Larynx cancer
  • Lung cancer
  • Stomach cancer
  • Bowel cancer

However!

There is so much information on what’s the right food we should be eating, that we can’t see the wood for trees.

Low fat this… reduced calories that!

In fact, all we need to do is eat real food!

So if you are serious about preventing cancer you need to know what food you are putting in your body.

I don’t know about you I like to keep things simple. So here are some simple changes to your diet that will help prevent cancer!

  • Eat more fruit and vegetables

In fact, like me I would base your whole diet on fruits, vegetables or anything else that grows out of the ground like whole grains, beans and natural nuts.

  • Stay away from processed foods and takeaways.

It is not just the burgers, Indian/Chinese takeaways, donuts and cakes..

Basically, if it is in packet don’t put it in your mouth!

  • Also avoid foods products with the word “light”, “low Fat” or “Non-Fat” in their names!

2 Stop drinking alcohol

Drinking alcohol dramatically increases your chances of getting breast cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, kidney and also liver.

You will be more at risk if you have been drinking regularly for a long period of time and also the risk is high if you are a heavy drinker.

So it is in your best interest to stop. I stopped drinking 10 years ago and I have never looked back!

However if you think you have drink problem, go and get some help…

3 Include Apoptosis Foods in your diet.

Apoptosis is a natural process for when a cell commits suicide to protect the body. This only happens when a cell detects damage.

But in cancer cells this does not happen. But scientists still do not know why this happens.

However, there are foods that are proven to force the cancer cells to commit suicide just as if it was happening naturally. These are called Apoptosis Foods

Here are some you can try:

  • Green Tea –
  • peas, beans lentils
  • blueberries, strawberries ,raspberries
  • broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage,
  • kale and turnips
  • Tomatoes

Also, if you have been diagnosed with cancer ask your doctor about using apoptosis-causing foods.

3 Stop smoking

We all know the danger of smoking, especially the link with lung cancer!

So, giving up smoking is one of the important things you can do, to not only prevent cancer but also other deadly diseases.

Even if we do not smoke, just breathing in other peoples smoke can put your health at risk!

If are a smoker and have tried to give up in past, keep trying until you find the best way for you! There are many ways that could help you break the habit for good!

  • Find your motivation.

In this case it may be to help prevent yourself from getting cancer. But it could be for your children and family or whatever drives you forward to being a non-smoker.

You are the only one who knows what is going to motivate you!

  • Try nicotine patches and gum.

You are going to face some resistance to spark up again. To combat this, try using nicotine patches or even nicotine gum.

It may sound simple but, this could mean the difference between giving up completely or going back to your smoking habit.

Have a chat with you doctor to find out more.

  • Tell others you are quitting.

Having support while you are trying to give smoking is must! But most of us try to keep it to ourselves.

The thing is, if you don’t tell family, friend and work mates, how can they support you?

Tell your friends and family, you just might need them when the going gets tough!

Label yourself ‘A Non-Smoker’ to yourself and everybody you meet.

4 Sleep well

This is one of the least well known ways that helps to prevent cancer.

But you also may not know that an average of 1-10 of us experience some kind of sleep problems.

Where we are always waking up or are easily disturbed.

However, there are some simple ways to help with sleep problems:

  • Get up and go to bed at the same time every day.
  • Only use bed for sleep.
  • Go bed only when you feel very sleepy.
  • Avoid drinking caffeine just before bed
  • If you are still not asleep after 30 minutes, get up and do something you find boring.
  • Listen to a relaxing mp3 before you sleep

I personally listen to an mp3, but you will find the one that works for you?

5 Getting enough Exercise

Be honest with yourself, do you do enough exercise?

According to the American Cancer Society, at least 30 minutes of daily exercise is needed to reduce the risk of getting cancer.

Now, I would like to point out, this is beyond your daily activities!

So if you walk to work every day, sorry, that will not count!

Now, you may think, I don’t want to run around the block 3 times or go to the gym 5 times week.

That’s absolutely fine,

So find something that you will enjoy!

The best part is, it won’t feel like exercise because you will be enjoying yourself so much!

Trust me, you will know when find it!

And you will be astonished on how it can change your life!

5 Avoiding stress and staying relaxed

If you only took action on one thing from this post, this would be it!

The number 1 reason why Chinese women do not get breast cancer

Anyone who is suffering from breast cancer will know first-hand what a cruel disease it is.

In fact, 1 in 2 women just in the UK alone are affected by breast cancer.

And more than likely to be advised by a doctor to undergo radiotherapy, chemotherapy or receive painful surgery.

However, even though your doctors reassure you it is the best way to go.

You just have a gut feeling that death is just around the corner! But also know you have family and friends that want you around as long as possible.

Basically! You want to live!

Well,

This is exactly what Professor Jane Plant PhD, CBE from the UK was going through.

But something happened that changed everything!

Jane’s husband returned from a business trip to China and brought cards, letters and a gift of an amazing herbal medicine that was a cure for breast cancer!

Even though it was a challenging time, Jane and her husband had a sense of humour about the situation.

Jane remembers saying…

“If this is what the treatment for breast cancer is in China, then it is a little wonder that Chinese women avoid getting cancer”

Then it hit her!

Why didn’t Chinese women get cancer?

And what Jane and her husband discovered was far simpler than Jane could ever wish for!

Oh yes, Jane is now completely cancer free!

What you are going to learn from Jane…

The number 1 reason why women in China do not get breast cancer.

How to copy what Jane did and heal yourself of breast cancer.

The difference between success and failure.

Jane plant had an overwhelming desire to not only to find out why Chinese women do not get cancer.

But also to live!

Jane remembered a conversation with some fellow scientists from China, which they compared to breast cancer statistics between the west and in the east.

Well, quite frankly, Jane was astonished!

Only 1 in 10,000 women in China will die of breast cancer!

Compared to…

Are you ready for this!

1 in 12 will die from breast cancer just in the UK alone.

It gets worse!

In most western countries the average is 1 in 10!

I am sure you agree these figures are quite staggering.

Now you may be thinking that China has more rural areas than most western countries. And this is why the statistics are so different.

In short, NO!

Even in the cities like Hong Kong, the rate only rises to 34 deaths to every 10.000.

That is still very low compared to the western world!

There’s more…

The Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki have similar statistics to Hong Kong and we all know what happened in these 2 cities!

So, from all this information, Jane came to a simple conclusion…

If a western woman moved to Nagasaki or even Hiroshima, the risk of her getting breast cancer would be cut to more than half!

Before you start packing!

Jane also discovered if a woman from China moved to a western country…

Let’s say the UK!

There would be a 1 in 12 risk of getting breast cancer, just by moving to the west!

Well, at least Jane knew it can’t be genetic.

So what is going on here?

Well, in short, lifestyle!

The Chinese have a saying for breast cancer… “Rich Woman’s Disease”

Why? You may ask.

Only the well-off can afford to eat, what the Chinese call… “Hong Kong food”

Or to put it another way western food!

  • Ice cream
  • Milk chocolate
  • Pasta
  • Cheese
  • To name but a few

Jane now had the feeling she was getting somewhere.

In fact, this goes for us men out there too!

According to the World Health Organisation, the number of Chinese men getting prostate cancer 0.5 to every 100.00

However, in the UK alone the risk is 70% higher! And like breast cancer in women, they were all middle class or well off areas.

Now, Jane remembers saying to her husband.

“Come on Peter, you have just come back from China. What is it about the Chinese way of life that is so different?”

Why don’t they get breast cancer?

Jane and her husband decided right there and then to use their scientific back ground and look at it logically.

First, they looked at fats in diets

But, Jane knew from past experience and research that fat intake does increase the risk of breast cancer.

Then, something was said that changed everything.

Jane was not sure who said it first? Jane or her husband Peter…

“The Chinese don’t eat dairy produce”

It was hard to explain how excited she and her husband was, at that very moment they both knew they had found a massive break through.

This led to more confirmation on what they had both discovered…

Jane recalled how the Chinese people cannot tolerate milk.

Jane also mentioned, that people from China whom she had met always thought that milk was only for babies.

In fact, the Chinese find it very strange that we eat and drink dairy produce.

I am sure you would agree this is quite amazing!

With her science cap on, Jane started to look into it a bit further and discovered that milk is one of the most common causes of food allergies.

And found, remarkably over 70% of the world’s population cannot digest Milk, sugar or lactose.

As you may know, in the western society we eat a lot of dairy products.

  • Skimmed milk
  • Low-fat cheese
  • Yogurts
  • Cheap mince beef (ground up dairy cow)
  • Ice cream

At this point, the chemotherapy was simply not working. The cancerous lump was still the same size.

Now!

Armed and inspired with all this information, Jane did something that anyone else would do in her situation.

How to copy what Jane and heal breast cancer.

She gives up eating and drinking dairy produce altogether!

Jane was a woman on a mission; before she put anything into her body she would check the label to see if it had any trace of dairy in the ingredients.

If dairy produce was in the house, it went in the trash!

Well!

About 2 weeks after Jane’s second chemo session and  1 week of not eating any dairy.

Jane’s lump started to itch.

Then miraculously, it began to reduce in size. The tumour was in complete remission!

And then, one Saturday afternoon, Jane asked her husband Peter to confirm what she already knew.

Peter could not feel any lump, the tumour had completely vanished!

Even though they were understandably excited, they thought it would be best to get a second opinion.

So! Jane went to see her cancer specialist at Charing Cross Hospital in London.

After examining Jane thoroughly…

And after being a bit confused but very delighted, he said….

“I can’t find it!”

In fact, none of the doctors expected anyone of her type and stage of cancer to survive.

Let alone to be completely cured!

Jane is living proof that a dairy free diet not only helps to prevent us getting cancer in the first place.

But can heal or cure cancer even when all hope of surviving this destructive disease is lost!

However, you may still find it hard to believe that simply cutting out dairy will have a dramatic effect on your chances of healing yourself of cancer.

Just think to yourself, “If Jane can do it, then I can too!”

Now, you may be asking yourself, what foods contain dairy and what can I eat instead?

Don’t worry I have got your back!

A simple guide on how to live dairy free

Avoiding dairy is not as easy as not eating butter or drinking milk. Many different foods contain dairy ingredients that we are not even aware of when looking at labels.

Here is what you should be looking out for…

  • Milk additives
  • Casein
  • Whey
  • Chee
  • Lactose
  • Lactulose
  • Curds
  • Lactoglobulin
  • Hydrolysates

This list may be a bit daunting.

But this is a good habit to get into before you put any food or drink into your shopping basket.

Ok, it might be a bit time-consuming at the beginning. This will become much easier when you get to know what produce contains dairy and what are the best alternatives.

So! To point you in the right direction here is a list of the common dairy foods and suggested alternatives…

Dairy Alternatives Infographic

This is just a small number of dairy free produce you can choose from; there are literally hundreds more available.

If you do pick up something from your local shop that you are not sure that it is dairy free.

Just copy Jane’s example and check the label.

Ok, you are now armed with all this information and inspired by Jane’s amazing story.

The next step is to take action.

Not taking action is one of the most common reasons why people do not follow through and get the result they truly deserve.

Even though they are inspired by a story like Jane’s and I don’t want that to happen to you!

So! I’m not going to leave you unless I know as soon as you have finished reading this post; you are going to take action!

The difference between success and failure.

Let’s stop for a minute and have a little chat one to one.

Look I get it you still have your doubts and you already have lots to deal with already.

But let me ask you this:

Will it harm you in any way if you could cut out dairy?

Here is another question…

Do YOU really believe that chemotherapy is going cure you of cancer!

If the answer is no! Carry on reading!

Now, you may still want to choose to carry on with your chemotherapy and along with cutting out dairy just like our friend Jane did!

After all, it is your choice! And that’s all it comes down to…

A choice!

  • Take inspiration from this post, take immediate action and give yourself a better chance of healing yourself from breast cancer and live life to the full.

Or…

  • Put your eggs in one basket and just carry on with chemotherapy and hope it heals your breast cancer on its own.

Which as you know, many of the doctors did not even believe it could cure Jane’s breast cancer? Even though they told her it was the only option!

For me, it is a no brainer!

Like I said I am on a mission to get you going!

So, the best time to take action is…

Not in an hour

Not tomorrow

Not next week

But right now in this very moment!

Why?

Because you’re more than likely to be inspired by Jane’s amazing experiences, after all, she is living prove this really works.

However, if you leave it to long, life will just get in the way and it will get put to the back of the line.

And I don’t want that happening to you!

I want to give you the best chance possible to survive this terrible disease.

So, start checking labels in your fridge, cupboards and freezer and put all the dairy products in the bin.

Now that you have started, keep going!

Don’t give up!

Ok! It might be hard at first, but just think of the potential benefits?

  • Spend more time with your family
  • Watch the grandchildren grow up
  • Living cancer and pain-free

I tell you what! When you have cleared out your cupboards and put all the dairy products in the bin.

Judge natural or conventional health
Healing, Pain, Recovery

Why Natural Healing is Far better For You!

With the title of this blog Natural Healing Resources, I think you know which side I lean too!

But how do you choose?

Look! I get it!

We are constantly told by the media and the government that we should take this pill for this and have treatment for that!

The fact is, there are so many forms of healing, conventional and natural,

We just don’t know which way to turn!

Also, you must know that there is no one single method that covers all of our health needs.

It just does not exist!

But!

There is one that completely dominates the whole health industry.

And that is western medicine!

In our modern world conventional medicine is everywhere.

So even if we want to go down natural healing path. We are told by our doctors that it is not advisable.

As it has not been proven in a lab and it is all just hocus pocus nonsense!

So, we are never really told that we already have incredible healing power.

In fact, in most cases we don’t need any medication or treatment to heal ourselves.

So how do decide which method is best for you!

How can you cut through the confusion and the hype!

I can’t think of any better than to put both cases in front of a Judge and a jury of the Peoples Health Court!

Entirely fictional of course! 🙂

Before we start….

What you are going to learn from the court case.

  • Why doctors think modern medicine is the only way to treat and heal the human body!
  • Why natural healing is better than conventional western medicine ( backed up by overwhelming evidence)

Ok let’s get to it!

On one side of the court, I will put my case forward to the jury via video link!

Why natural healing is better than conventional western medicine!

And on the other side of the room, a medical doctor of conventional medicine presents his evidence.

Why modern medicine is the only way to treat and heal the human body!

And of course!  To win the case we also both have to convince the judge.

Let’s say, is your grandmother!

Well! Your grandmother has seen it all in her lifetime. She will make a great judge!

Send me my FREE report

And last but not least, we have to convince the jury!

That is YOU!

The judge has set a date, which is to today!

Right now in fact!

It should have been yesterday but your grandmother had bingo!

She is the judge! 🙂

Ok!

First up is the medical doctor!

Why modern medicine is the only way to treat and heal the human body!

“Ok, I would like to start by speaking for all the medical doctors out there!

By saying that the human body just needs help.

And I will prove it!

Let’s take this as an example…

For argument sake, you left here and on your way home you had a car accident. You broke your leg! And you are losing blood!

Where would you like to taken too?

The emergency room or the herbalist, may be an acupuncturist or even a chiropractor?

Of course, you would use the emergency room!

In fact! With Trauma and serious accidents which need immediate surgery.

I’m sure the jury would agree there is absolutely no other option than to use conventional medicine!

Even some infections require emergency care and medication.

And I am sure you know if you go to any medical doctor with any problem, there is a medication or treatment to combat any disease!

For example…

  • High blood pressure
  • Heart disease
  • Liver disease
  • Cancer
  • Joint pain/back pain

Even if you are feeling stressed, we have a pill to fix it!

And if that does not have any effect, we can give you stronger pills!

Basically, any symptoms you have, we can fix it with medication, surgery or even chemotherapy which has all been proven in lab tests.

In fact, unless it has been proven by science then, in my opinion, it is hocus pocus and has no place in conventional medicine.

That is why most of us trust our doctors because we are the only ones that have the responsibility for your health!

Members of the jury!

I am sure you can see that conventional medicine is the only way to treat the human body!

Thank you, I rest my case!

Thank you, doctor!

Before Mark starts he has asked the jury to consider the following exhibits:

Death by Medicine by Ashley James on Scribd

Ok, Mark, you are up.

“Thank you doctor”

and

“Thank you Mark”

The jury has a great responsibility today, in choosing the between conventional medicine and natural healing path.

On one side you have conventional medicine that has tried to prove that medication or treatment can almost treat everything. And especially effective if the body needs fixing.

The doctor said, “The human body cannot heal by itself, it just needs help.”

Conventional medicine in brief:

  • Cares about repairing the body.
  • See us a machine
  • fixes everything with drugs and surgery
  • Only interested in repairing us when we are sick.

Then there is Marks case.

After reading the shocking statistics, taking responsibility for your own health by making better choices, in Marks opinion is the best way forward.

Natural healing also relies on prevention rather than going straight for the pills or painful treatment.

Which, in some cases, the side effects are worse than the problem you are trying to heal.

Especially Chronic disease!

Conventional treatments for Heart Disease, Cancer, High blood pressure, joint pain

Simply do not work!

In fact, chemotherapy is so devastating that even doctors said they would refuse it if they became ill!

In brief…

Natural healing which focuses on:

  • The whole person Body Mind and Spirit
  • See the human as part of a bigger picture
  • Looks at putting everything back in harmony
  • Encourages that will enable our body to heal naturally.
  • Put the individual in control, not the doctor.
  • Its purpose is to always keep us healthy.

Ok, jury, it’s down to you to make the right choice!

Not for anyone else, just YOU!

Please leave a comment below to let me know your views.

And which you think is best for you?

Blood Pressure
Healing, Recovery

7 things you can do right now to lower your high blood pressure, and change the day you die!

Developing high blood pressure has a lot to with how you live your life.

We are all busy and concentrating on our daily lives that we somehow manage to forget that we are creating habits that are is contributing to our high blood pressure.

However!

It’s never too late to make a change!

By simply making better health choices you could dramatically lower your blood pressure and reduce your medication.

Or even stop using it altogether!

And as added bonus, you will get to live longer too!

Let’s us find out some simple ways on how you can change the day you die!

What you are going to learn today…

  • Why it is never too late to make a better choice!
  • 7 things you can do right now to lower your blood pressure
  • Why you need to take action now!

Let’s get to it!

Why it is never too late to make a better choice!

If you have high blood pressure it is more than likely you have been prescribed medication to keep your high blood pressure under control.

Ok yes!  They may be working, but there are also many side effects depending on which medication you’re taking.

Which is affecting your overall long term health!

However!

You doctor may not have told you there are a lot of things we can do as individuals to help lower blood pressure. Without even taking a single pill!

In fact! We have so much healing power within us all; we could not stop it even if we wanted to!

Knowing this, high blood pressure tablets for me would be the very last resort.

Now! You may be thinking that it is too late for me to lower my blood pressure. The doctor said

“It’s the only choice you have left”

Quite frankly, that is not true!

Ok, you may not want to come off your medication all together, even though it is completely possible to do so.

But!, it’s never too late to make better lifestyle choices that can dramatically lower your blood pressure and change the day you die!

And over time you will be able to reduce the medication or come off it altogether!

As an added bonus, your overall health will have improved which could stop other health problems in the future.

So from this moment, take responsibility for your own health and wellbeing and start making some better choices!

In fact, really that is all it is…

A Choice!

  • Choose to carry on taking the medication and suffer from all the side effects without taking any responsibility for your own health.
  • Choose to gradually come off the medication by making healthier lifestyle choices, which not only lowers your blood pressure. But also gives you a better chance of living longer!

I don’t know about you, but this is a no brainer!!!

Ok, Mark, that’s fine!

But I don’t really know what I need to do to lower my blood pressure without relying on medication.

Well, you’re not alone!

A high percentage of us don’t really understand how are behaviours and actions are having a big part in creating high blood pressure and all the other health problems that will affect our lives.

So to point you in the right direction here are a list of behaviours and actions you may be doing without really know what damage it’s doing to your health.

7 things you can do right now to lower your blood pressure

1. Lifestyle…

Lifestyle plays a major role in lowering blood pressure, especially if you’re overweight.

High blood pressure and weight gain often go hand in hand, which can also increase the chance of other health problems, such as…

  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Heart disease
  • Blood clots
  • Breathing problems

But the good news is!  Just by losing 10 pounds (4.5 kilogrammes) you can lower your blood pressure!

And if you maintain your weight, your blood pressure will stay down.

If you are not sure you are overweight, take a visit to the doctor.

2. Regular exercise…

In my opinion, exercise is an absolute must if we are serious about lowering our high blood pressure.

In fact, even if we do not have high blood pressure, 30 minutes of regular exercise will help prevent it!

It’s a win, win!

But, you have to be consistent!

If you stop exercising for long a periods your blood pressure may rise again.

3. Healthy diet…

There is a lot of confusion around what is the most effective healthy diet to lower blood pressure.

But in fact! It’s really simple!

Stop eating…

  • Saturated fatty food
  • Fizzy drinks
  • Processed food/meat
  • Too much alcohol

I think you get the picture! Not very healthy!

So! Instead of eating and drinking that stuff!

Try eating…

  • Fruit
  • Vegetables
  • Lean meat
  • Whole grains
  • Natural nuts
  • Unprocessed fish

Now, this is real food that will not only lower your blood pressure. It will also make you feel healthier.

Louise L Hay summed it up in only a few words…

If it grows eat it!

If it doesn’t grow don’t eat it!

I told you it was simple!

It does not need any explaining.

4. Cut down on the alcohol…

Now I am not saying you have to give up alcohol altogether.

In fact, small amounts of alcohol can actually be good for you!

However, if you are having a drink every day, then you’re probably drinking too much.

And, can actually raise your blood pressure to dangerous levels!

To combat this…

Save drinking alcohol for the weekends or on special occasions.

Not only will this help lower your blood pressure, you will also find that you will look forward to it more which also adds to the enjoyment!

Try it, it really does work!

5. Quit smoking…

I’m sure you know that smoking is bad for you.

Not only for your high blood pressure for other major health problems.

But!

You may not know that after each cigarette you smoke your blood pressure rises and then stays at the same level for many minutes.

However, if you choose to quit smoking your blood pressure will return to normal levels fairly quickly!

In fact, people of any age that stop smoking will not only be a lot healthier in general, they will actually change the day they die!

You may have tried to give up before or you are still struggling to give up smoking?

Try one of these options…

  • Nicotine patches/tablets
  • Hypnotherapy
  • Support group
  • Or even switch to E-cigarettes

The fact is, anyone who has quit smoking will tell you that, not only has their blood pressure gone down but they feel a lot fitter!

So if it works for them then it can work for you!

6. Reduce stress…

Chronic stress is a major contributor in developing high blood pressure and other chronic diseases

We are always on the go with our busy lives and more than likely do not even know we are even feeling stressed!

But, everybody reacts to stress in different ways, so it can be hard to nail down what you’re actually stressed about!

But!

Our behaviours and action can give us clues…

  • Eating too much
  • Drinking too much alcohol
  • Smoking
  • Out of character mood swings
  • Withdrawn

Also, we need to a step back and look at what our stress triggers are!

Basically, what is it that is that you are worried about the most?

It may be…

  • Work problems
  • Family issues
  • Money problems
  • Chronic illness

The good news is!

That once you know what the problems are you can manage your stress more effectively!

Here are some ways you can manage stress more effectively…

Don’t expect too much of yourself

Trying to please everyone and control every situation is impossible.

But there are small things that you can do to reduce stress.

For example…

You may be rushing around in the mornings to get ready for work?

Because in the back of your mind, if I don’t leave soon I am going to be stuck in traffic for hours!

Why not try getting up a bit earlier or have everything ready the night before.

This simple change will give more time in the mornings instead of rushing around and feeling stressed.

Also, throughout the day, if you feel that you don’t have the time to do a task, learn to say no!

We have all been there, we said yes to something and then realised we have no time to do it.

So, we try to fit it in or rush it! Mainly because we don’t want to let the person down!

But if you said no! Sorry! I have not got the time!

I am sure the person would be fine about it! And find someone else or just wait until you do have the time?

There are only 24 hours in the day, not 30!

Now, you may have a boss that is always on your case?

He is always putting you down and you are just fed up with it!

To start to relax,

7. Get support

When everything is going at a fast pace and we feel that we have no time to stop for anything.

We often forget that we have people around us that love us very much.

So, simply reaching out and asking for help can have a massive effect on the way we deal with stress on a daily basis.

However!

You may need help that your family and friends are not just qualified to deal with!

You may need to attend a support group with people that have had been in the same situation as you and come out the other side.

This support will give the confidence that everything is going to be ok!

If they can do it! So can I!

Or even reading a post like this can give you the motivation to take responsibility and take action to reduce stress in your life.

Basically! If you want to support it is there.

Just find the one that suits your needs, not somebody else!

But for you!

Why taking immediate action is the difference between success and failure.

Now, if you are reading this I am assuming that you are serious about lowering your blood pressure and dramatically increasing the chances of extending your life.

However!

You may be thinking “yes I’m going to try this”

I will start tomorrow or after my holiday!

This will not work!

I will tell you why.

At this moment in time, you are feeling motivated and keen to start!

And that is fantastic!

I applaud you for that.

But if you put it off for too long your motivation will fade.

In fact, you will either keep on putting it off or you will give up completely!

And I do not want that to be you!

So, I urge you to make the choice to start right now at this very moment.

Not tomorrow! not next week!

But today!

All it takes is to take the first step on the stairway to success.

And I have absolute no doubt you will get there!

Ok that’s all for now

Natural Healing Block
Healing, Recovery

What is Natural Healing And Why You Are Blocking It?

In short natural healing power is what the body does completely naturally.

If we cut your finger, we know without any doubt that it will heal itself.

And it does!

Even if we catch a cold, we know it will just go away.

And it does! And not even cross our mind that it is not going to end your life!

So!

If we believe that a cold or cut can be healed by the body’s natural healing power.

Then why do we not believe that we can heal ourselves from cancer?

The fact is, it’s the same healing power that heals a cold that also heals a cancer tumour!

But!

Do you really believe you can naturally heal yourself from cancer?

For most of us, I expect the answer is NO!

Well, you are not alone!

Most of us believe that cancer is a death sentence.

But remember:

“Cancer is a word, not a sentence.” – John Diamon

And I will show you why…

What you are going to learn

  • Why you don’t always have to believe what the doctor said.
  • Find out how what’s blocking your own healing power.
  • How to recognise the signs of the flight…Fight…freeze response?
  • How to use a relaxation technique to neutralise the Flight…Fight…Freeze response!

Ok, let us make a start!

Why you don’t always have to believe what the doctor said!

Let me ask you this!

If you were told by your doctor you have…

  • High blood pressure
  • Joint pain
  • Back pain
  • Or even cancer

Would you take his advice and resort to medication, painful surgery or even chemotherapy!

Or would you trust your own healing power?

Be honest with yourself!

Do you really believe your own healing power could heal, let’s say cancer!

We would like to think so!

And yes it is entirely possible!

However!

Even, though you may have read the stories of other people naturally curing themselves of cancer.

You just feel deep down; you really should be taking the doctor’s advice.

That’s ok!

Now, don’t get me wrong!

I respect doctors; they are the best people around for knowledge of the human body and what needs to be done physically.

But, when it comes to a holistic knowledge of our full healing power.

A Medical Doctor would be one of the last people I would go to!

Why? Because they are focused solely on the body and medicine and there are so many other factors we can consider to aid any recovery.

Especially, with chronic diseases like…

  • High blood pressure
  • Heart diseases
  • Back pain/ joint pain
  • Stress
  • Cancer

Take cancer for example!

In a special report to the American Cancer Society in 1972, it was stated that the average lifespan of an individual that had been diagnosed with cancer was 4 years.

But!

People who took full responsibility for their own recovery by taking the natural route and never asking for help from any medical doctor.

Their life span after diagnosis jumped up to 12 years!

Ok, you may be thinking that was 40 years ago?

We have moved on since then, right?

But in fact! We haven’t!

Have we beaten cancer?

NO!

Ok, there is chemotherapy!

But even some medical doctors said they would refuse chemotherapy if they were ever diagnosed with cancer.[1]

Doesn’t fill you with confidence, does it!

Chemotherapy destroys the immune system in the hope to ‘reboot’ it to start fighting Cancer again, once it comes back. A bit like a computer which we turn off and on again to fix the glitch.

As humans we are producing Cancer cells all the time, it is just that, for most of us, our body’s immune system does its job and removes them.

Even after the trillions that have been spent on treatments and research in the last ten years, conventional methods have not found a cure or anything really new or groundbreaking.

So, why do we believe that chemotherapy is the only option, even though there is so much evidence to prove that conventional medicine is simply not working?

The answer, in short, it is what you believe to be true!

Let me explain!

When we were born we did not have any experiences, everything was new to us. We did not know right from wrong.

Good from bad.

We then started to learn a little from our parents.

If my mummy smiled, she was happy….If she frowned, she was angry. Then we started to recognised smells, mums perfume or the smell of cooking food etc.

And then, as we got a little older…

We would know that if we were ill, our parents would show fear and worry all over their faces.

We would then be taken to see the doctor, and he may have given us some horrible tasting medicine.

I remember that one!

Also, we may all remember…

…falling over and cutting or grazing our knee, and after running to our grown up crying…

…who would say “don’t worry it will get better all by itself”

And it did!

Every time!

Can you see the pattern here?

What we believe to be true has a lot to do with what we were taught by our parents and other authority figures as were growing up!

  • Teachers
  • Doctors
  • Older children
  • News and media

If we go to our doctor and he/she gives us the diagnosis that we have cancer and then states that the only options is surgery or chemotherapy.

Like your parents before you, you are going to believe that to be the only answer.

We take our doctors’ word as complete and utter truth!

Why!

Because we have been taught to believe that cancer is a death sentence, even though there are countless stories that prove otherwise!

Yet! We still believe!

We all know someone who has died from cancer whether that is a family member or the man down the street.

They, more than likely, had surgery, chemotherapy or both and may have still lost their battle with cancer!

But please don’t despair! There are other options you can add to your recovery toolbox to increase your chances of healing.

Let me ask you this!

If you were diagnosed with cancer, what would you do? Just take your doctor advice or would you look for all the options and choose what is best for you?

We somehow believe that cancer is stronger than our own natural healing power!

This simply is not true!

If you do believe cancer is strong, don’t worry…

…beliefs are not set in stone.

They are constantly changing and being influenced by what is going on around us on a daily basis.

Opening our minds to other possibilities helps change any beliefs.

We are so focused on our day to day habits that we forget we just need to step back and keep an open mind!

Now I’m not asking you to stop taking your doctor’s advice or to change your beliefs.

But, what I would ask is that you look for all the options to help you overcome your illness and choose the best ones for you?

I will share some ideas later in this post.

But there may be something stopping you from trying them.

My guess that that thing stopping you would be fear and worry!

With that said, let me show you how to control fear and worry to help you change your beliefs!

How to Find out What’s Blocking Your Own Healing Power

So we now know we have incredible healing power.

We know this because we know a cut on our finger heals completely without any conscious effort on our part.

However, our past experiences and our beliefs are getting in the way of our own healing power.

So, to help combat this…

…we just need to step back and let our healing power do its thing!

And that is to heal!

“One cannot help the physiological process. The point is not to hinder it” Dr Michael Odent – Tweet this

The greatest threat to our own natural healing is fear and stress!

The amazing Louise L Hay refers to fear as being False…Evidence…Appear…Real.

Basically means, fear is worrying that a negative situation will occur.

For example…

We worry that if we do not take the doctor’s advice we may die!

Even though we get inspired by all the amazing stories of people naturally healing themselves of cancer, high blood pressure, joint pain and back pain to name but a few!

But we still worry that it will not work us!

“Worry is preposterous. We don’t know enough to worry”   Wei Po Yang

The very wise Wei Po Yang is so right!

Because there are millions of occurrences that can happen in the future and we have absolutely no idea what may or may not happen.

So if we have to focus on anything let’s choose to focus on the best possible outcome instead of worrying.

Even better that we can choose just live in the moment and fully appreciate each moment in a calm way as this Taoist story illustrates:

One day, while walking through the wilderness, a man encountered a vicious tiger. He ran for his life, and the tiger gave chase.

The man came to the edge of a cliff, and the tiger was almost upon him. Having no choice, he held on to a vine with both hands and climbed down.

Halfway down the cliff, the man looked up and saw the tiger at the top, baring its fangs. He looked down and saw another tiger at the bottom, waiting for his arrival and roaring at him. He was caught between the two.

Two rats, one white and one black, showed up on the vine above him. As if he didn’t have enough to worry about, they started gnawing on the vine.

He knew that as the rats kept gnawing, they would reach a point when the vine would no longer be able to support his weight. It would break and he would fall. He tried to shoo the rats away, but they kept coming back.

At that moment, he noticed a strawberry growing on the face of the cliff, not far away from him. It looked plump and ripe. Holding onto the vine with one hand and reaching out with the other, he plucked it.

With a tiger above, another below, and two rats continuing to gnaw on his vine, the man tasted the strawberry and found it absolutely delicious.

source: http://www.taoism.net/living/2003/200301.htm

Don’t worry about the tiger in the past or the one that may be in your future for we do not know enough to worry about either.

Why?

Because there are too many possibilities to be concerned with anything other than this present moment.

What does this mean?

Well, the waiting tiger could fall asleep, die or a hunter could come along.

The mouse could fall into the tiger’s eye or even frightened/distract the tiger away, someone else could come along and become the tigers’ lunch. there are millions of possibilities other than the worst case scenario. So focus on the strawberry, which is this good h moment.

What is the tiger in your life?

What do you fear?

Is it the fear of dying, if you don’t take the doctor’s advice?

Or maybe you worry what family and friends will say if you don’t take the doctor’s advice?

Whatever it is?

This is what is getting in the way of your own natural healing power!

In fact, worry and stress have been proved to hamper our natural healing power!

“Almost all major illnesses that people acquire has been linked to stress” Dr Bruce Lipton

But how?

We spend too much time is a state of stress and fear.

Send me my FREE report

Marie Mongan states that ideally, we should not be in the Sympathetic part of our Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) for any longer than 2-5% of our life.

The Sympathetic part is our stress Fight or Flight or Freeze part of the of our Autonomic Nervous System (ANS)

Autonomic Nervous System

On an average day how long do think you are in the Sympathetic state?

Bruce Lipton in his book the Biology of Belief explains it something like this:

Our Immune system protects our body from illness and disease, but it is labour intensive on the body. Which is why we feel lethargic and need to rest when we are unwell. This is our body working its Natural Healing Power to get better.

He goes on to explain that the HPA Axis which is similar to the Sympathetic part of the Autonomic Nervous System will always top trump the Immune system and deal with any perceived threat that may destroy us as an individual. For example, anytime we are in Fight or Flight mode.

Which as we know in our dog eat dog world is quite often.

You may also be aware how when you take annual leave from work you become poorly for the first few days this could be because you relax and the body no longer feels under threat and enables the immune system to start working again.

The importance of relieving stress, fear and worry cannot be overstated because it really does enable our natural healing power to do its job.

Earlier on in this post, we mentioned that as humans we are producing Cancer cells all the time, it is just that, for most of us, our body’s immune system does its job and removes them. According to Bruce Lipton and Marie Mongan, the best think we can do it to let our immune system to do its job is to relax and remove worry and anxiety.

This is, as always, best to do when we are well but can work and be effective after we have a diagnosis.

How to recognise the signs of the flight…Fight…freeze response?

We know the fight…Fight…freeze response (F.F.F.R) is affecting how our own naturally healing power does its job.

Now we need to recognise when our F.F.F.R is activated.

As well you may know, in today’s modern world there are no sabre tooth tigers chasing us around the streets.

If you were being chased by a tiger, you would know without a shadow of a doubt that your F.F.F.R is activated.

It’s plainly obvious!

But knowing what triggers our Fight…Flight…Freeze Response in our dog eat dog world can be little trickier!

Although, even in our modern world the FFFR is extremely beneficial to us when we are in real danger!

Such as,

Having to quickly move out of the way of a moving car.

And there are times when a mother can lift a huge amount of weight, just so they can save their child from a burning car.

But for most of us in today’s modern world, we cannot run away when our F.F.F.R is activated! Like the risk of losing our job or stress from a boss.

We have to sit it out, so to speak until we can feel it through.

You must also know, that when we are stuck in the F.F.F.R state we are also stuck in survival mode!

We focus on just fear. So with these little emergencies, we look for the short term fixes and in turn, this makes us struggle to slow down and relax.

This is counterproductive!

By choosing to step back and accept where we are now and take responsibility to move on and make better choices in each moment can be extremely helpful.

Remember the Tiger story from earlier. There are millions of possibilities for the future so the best we can do, in each moment, is to pick the best behaviour to give us the most likely chance of survival.

But first we need to find out what our triggers are, then we can find productive ways to counter the F.F.F.R throughout the day.

So, you may ask, how do I know what my triggers are?

Well, each person has different triggers depending on what is going on in their life.

But for the majority of us, the F.F.F.R triggers are either physical or emotional.

Do you recognise any?

That’s ok! It might be more than one!

That’s ok too!

In fact, it is really good news.

Because, now you have found what your F.F.F.R Triggers are, you can control them!

In fact, let’s do that right now!

How to use a relaxation technique to help neutralise the Flight…Fight…Freeze response!

Copy These 40 Proven Examples of People Healing Themselves With Their Minds!

Let me ask you this?

Are you fed up with taking medication and having to cope with all the side effects that go with modern medication?

Also, you may have heard stories of people completely healing themselves of disease and suffering without a doctor in sight!

In fact, all they used was the power of their minds!

Now, if you are reading this right now you are at the very least, interested on how the mind affects the body.

But at the same time, you may be are a bit sceptical.

Look I get it! I really do!

I was in your shoes early 2000, I was very low and even considered suicide!

I was also in therapy for 2 years.

However!

I would not blame anyone, as I had made the choices that lead to the darkest point in my life.

My therapist suggested, because of my mindset I should read a book called “I Can Heal Your Life “by Louise L Hay.

This, along with a conversation with a deputy manager at work was the turning point of my life!

I started to acquire as much knowledge as I possibly could and soon realised that pain and suffering do not have to control my life.

In fact, I learned that I had much more control over my emotions, events and outcomes than I ever thought possible!

Just by using the power of the mind!

I was so inspired, my particular journey then directed me to qualify as a Hypnotherapist, choosing to specialise in Pain Management, Recovery and Performance.

Before completing several courses including Mindfulness, Basic Buddhism, and a very interesting course in a pain management technique called Noesitherapy.

I really do believe that you too can be inspired to find out how to use the incredible healing power of your mind to naturally heal almost anything!

Although, unlike me, whereas I researched for week after week to get the information I needed.

And then proceeded to put all the information I had found into one book!

Here are some examples from that book “Your Body Only Better” that I hope will not only blow your mind!

But inspire you to change your whole life.

Ok, that’s bold claim!

But I am living to prove it can change your life far more than you ever thought possible!

Now I have broken them down into 4 sections and some have a link below for more information.

Ok, Let do it!

What you are going to learn from this post!

10 Reasons why you can control pain with your mind.

10 Techniques to help you control pain with your mind.

10 Examples of people healing their body with their mind.

10 Techniques to help the body recover using the mind.

First up is…

10 Reasons Why You Can Control Pain With Your Mind.

1 – No More Morphine

During WW2, Henry Beecher ran out of Morphine whilst treating US soldiers injured in battle. He continued injecting with just saline: 40% of the soldiers reported pain relief from the placebo.

2 – Meditation and Pain
A North Carolina study showed that one hour’s meditation training helped participants reduce pain by almost 50%. The pain relieving effects were considered even greater than those of morphine!

“Most people can learn to meditate and gain even more control over their pain.”

3 – Dental Injection
Two groups both received a placebo tablet to control the pain of a forthcoming injection. The 1st group were told that the tablet may or may not work. The 2nd group were told how amazing the tablet was at controlling the pain of the injection. The 2nd group experienced less pain and anxiety.

4 – Operation Relaxation

Published in the Western Journal of Medicine, a study of recovery from pain compared two groups of awake but sedated patients. One group received attention and general care, while the other group had the same care but with guided meditation – the final group recovered quickest, with less pain, anxiety and medication.

“Have you noticed that when people are in pain they sometimes return to the fetal position? It looks like this unusual position may help with the pain.”

5 – Phantom Pain
Les Femi PhD discussed how a patient of his could still feel pain in a leg which had been amputated due to a traffic accident. He stated that around 95% of all amputees still feel pain in the missing limb.

“This shows that the brain really does interpret pain and it is not purely physical.”

6 – Plasticity of the Brain
Studies in the 1990s discovered that our brain can adapt and change to form new pathways and frequencies. By changing our perspective of the pain we can change how it feels.

7 – Meditation
A 2009 study by the University of North Carolina found that patients meditating for 20 minutes a day for 3 days, even if they had never meditated before, could change their perception to their pain.

8 – NO MORE PAIN

In 1997, a Bassman and Wester study developed the following acronym:

Noticing where I am relatively comfortable
O
ptimising the control I have

Motivating myself to engage in positive activities
Opening my mind to new possibilities and choices (being flexible as much as possible)
Relaxing in some regular way, e.g. using self-hypnosis regularly
Evaluating my time and priorities (Recall that managing chronic pain can be a full-time job)

Practicing self-hypnosis to gain some control over my pain and other symptoms
Avoiding stressful and conflictual situations as much as possible
Individualizing my schedule and not being afraid to make “downtime” when the pain flares up Negotiating support from others

9 – Believe it Won’t Work?
A 2011 study by the University of Oxford using brain imaging showed that if a patient did not believe in an effective pain medication the drug’s chance of working was reduced or could be totally overridden.

“Amazing! This shows the power of our expectations and beliefs.”

10 – Vicious Cycle
Howard Schubiner MD states that there are three major parts of our nervous system that create the vicious cycle of pain:

  1. The nerves that send pain signals from the body to the brain
  2. The brain itself, where those nerve signals are interpreted
  3. The nerves that send signals back to the body

He continues by saying we can, with a variety of techniques, retrain our brain to manage these three parts of the pain cycle.

10 Techniques To Help You Control Pain With Your Mind.

1 – Dr Weil’s 4-7-8 Breathing Technique

  • Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound as you do.
  • Close your mouth, then inhale quietly through your nose to a mental count of four.
  • Hold your breath for a count of seven.
  • Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound to a count of eight. This is one breath.
  • Repeat the cycle three more times.

Learn More –  http://amzn.to/1zgM0G6

2 – Mantra
Sitting on a chair, take a few deep breaths. Repeat a mantra, which is best for you, over and over. If you prefer, writing it over and over again helps too.

An example of a mantra could be “I am in control of my pain and discomfort” or “Every day, hour, minute and second I am becoming more and more comfortable.”.

3 – Noesitherapy
This method is surprisingly effective at reducing and numbing sensations. The key is keeping your mouth full of saliva and focusing on the part of the body you numb, e.g. the right arm. Say and repeat to yourself 3 times, with the saliva in your mouth;
“My Right Arm [or any other part of your body] is completely psychologically anaesthetised”

4 – Positive Imagery

Think of your safest, happiest and most relaxing place. Picture every detail of yourself there and immerse yourself in this place – sights, sounds, smells and emotions.

5 – Your Present Moment
Describe everything you are experiencing in the present moment, without anxieties about the past or worries about the future. Focus solely on the concrete description in the now, like “I am sitting in this chair with my feet on the ground, wearing a red jumper in discomfort”.

Keep away from emotional descriptors such as “excruciating”, “frustrated”, “angry”, etc. – they only confuse this exercise. Just concentrate and become aware of what you are doing now that can be seen.

“By accepting where you are right now, you have the foundations to change and build the next moment upon.”

6 – Body Scan
Take a few deep breaths to relax and then start by taking your attention and breath to the thumb on the right hand. Work your way along your hand, up your arm, around your shoulder, down your back on the right side, down your right leg and foot, taking your breath and attention to each part as you go. Repeat on the left side before focusing on your neck and around the parts of your head. If you discover any tension or discomfort, focus your breath and love on the area, then continue on with the body scan until you have finished.

Learn More –  http://amzn.to/1yOPTB0

7 – Meditation
Sit in a comfortable position and take a few deep breaths in and out, with no emotional reaction or attachment to the pain. Be aware of its sensation. Don’t try and push it away, just sit with the pain and realise that at the moment it is part of you, but with no emotional reaction within. You are just sitting, breathing and being with the pain in acceptance – you may even want to dance with the pain.

“Like any conflict, it is generally resolved by talking and even friendship.”

Learn More –  http://amzn.to/1zgMgow

8 – Exercise
Practising light forms of exercise, like Yoga or Tai Chi, can help keep you flexible and loose to enable your outer body, as well as your inner body, to flow and move. This also produces endorphins, known to be a natural painkiller.

9 – Dissolve Pain
Taking a few deep breaths, close your eyes and become aware of yourself sat in the room. Then imagine feeling the space that your whole body occupies, imagine feeling the space between the center of the pain or discomfort you feel and the back of your body and finally imagine feeling the space between your thumb and forefinger. Really visualise that space and its feeling before opening your eyes.

10 – Prepare Yourself
When you notice the pain arising, try saying to yourself – “I’m going to get ready to deal with this. I can handle this. I have coped with this before. This time it will be easier for me to manage. I will be okay. I can listen to what my body is telling me. I can learn something from this. It’s a shame to waste ‘good pain’.”

“Preparing is step one of four from Bruce Eimer’s Stress Inoculation Training – the others focus on ‘during’, ‘the worst moments’ and ‘after’ the pain.”

10 Examples of People Healing Their body With Their Mind.

1 – Pacemaker
In 1999 a Swedish hospital fitted 80 heart patients with a pacemaker to help with their condition. However, they only switched on 40 of the 80 pacemakers. The results after 3 months were that both groups stated they felt better and had increased use of the heart.

2 – Heart and the Canoe
A patient with blocked arteries, after every other option was tried, was told by his doctor to visualise. For 20 minutes each day the patient imagined he was paddling through his arteries scraping and clearing any blockages. After a couple of months the x-rays showed his arteries were much clearer, and he was no longer needing his wheelchair.

“Visualisation is good enough to improve performance in Olympians, so why not for us and our health?”

3 – Breast Cancer Recovery
A study by Belgian Professor Fabienne Roelants found that patients undergoing breast cancer surgery recovered more quickly if they had hypnosis and local anaesthetic. Each patient needed fewer painkillers and left the hospital a day earlier than those who had the same operation with a general anaesthetic.

4 – Breathe Mindfully
In a study of 40 people with asthma, each was given an inhaler which contained nothing but water vapour, however, they were told it contained a drug that would tighten the airways. 19 of the 40 people experienced breathing difficulties and of the 19, 12 experienced an asthma attack. These 19 were then given the same water vapour but this time was told it would help their symptoms and it did.

“Just through suggestion alone an asthma attack can appear, so why not suggest to ourselves daily that we intend to get well quicker?”

5 – Imagine Yourself Stronger
The Lerner Research Institute split 30 volunteers into two groups. One group was given a little finger exercise for 15 minutes a day.

The second group was asked to do the same exercise but to only use their minds. The results after 12 weeks were; the little fingers’ strength improved by 53% for the exercise group, compared to an amazing 35% for those who only used their mind.

“Arnold Schwarzenegger imagined his biceps ‘as big as mountain peaks’ as he did curling exercises, it seems to have worked for him.”

6 – The Power of Belief
A study by The British Stomach Cancer Group found that 30% percent of a Placebo group lost their hair and 56% were sick when taking nothing more than a sugar pill.

“The power of belief and expectation is very fascinating. It makes me wonder what else belief can do.”

7 – Hypno-Band
A lady lost 55lb using hypnosis. She was encouraged to believe she’d had gastric band surgery, thus reducing the amount of food her stomach could take at one time.

“If you can lose weight through hypnotic gastric band surgery, I wonder what other Hypno suggestive surgery could help us with in our lives.”

8 – Cancer Be Gone
David Seidler, the writer of ‘The King’s Speech’, tells of how he felt he had nothing to lose by trying to imagine his bladder cancer away.

He did this for the two weeks leading up to his operation. At the pre-op biopsy, they could find very little sign of any cancer.

“There are lots of stories of how people who tell of how they imagined their cancer away.”

9 – Whatever You Think
Dr. Elmer Green of the Menninger Foundation stated that if studies prove that we can make ourselves ill with our minds, then it goes without saying that we can make ourselves better with our minds too.

“I, for one, feel this is true, because the more studies I read, the more I am sure that our mind has the ability to make us both poorly and well.”

10 – Spontaneous Remissions
Erik Peper, Ph.D student at Harvard, reported on all the cases of spontaneous remissions from cancer. The repeating factor throughout the recoveries was that the individuals took responsibility for their body and health. They developed an attitude of hope, effort, determination and positivity.

2  – Blood Flow
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Take your focus to your heart and imagine all the blood flowing around your body. As it does, notice all the nutrients you need to live are being transported to where it is needed. Imagine a vehicle picking up the nutrients and needs for the part of your body that you would like to recover. Once full, deliver it to this part of your body and notice how it improves and changes.

“Dr. Parkyn[4] says: “No organ of the body can perform its functions properly when the amount of blood supplied to it is insufficient.”
