How is joint pain affecting your life?
Simply walking can be so painful; you may have to stop every hundred yards, just because of the joint pain in your hips are so bad.
You cannot sleep because whatever position you try to lay, the pain is just always there.
Now! What if I told you could stop all this pain without taking a single pill or having any painful surgery.
In fact, you would not even need to use your hands!
All you would need is little faith and a bit of practice.
Sounds too good to be true?
Well, this exactly what Admiral E.H.Shattock was going through!
He could hardly walk because his hip joints were painful, he never got a full night’s sleep with all the pain he was in.
And to top it all off, he also had an enlarged prostate cancer to contend with!
But remarkably, the retired Admiral healed himself completely of both conditions.
Just by using, a simple visualising technique to access the astonishing healing power of his own subconscious mind.
No pills, no surgery!
Now! The simple fact is, you have access to this healing power, and all you need to do is learn how to use it!
What you are going to learn…
- Why we need to know how the mind effects the body
- How to relax and gain access to the subconscious Mind
- How to get into the details of what you are going to visualise
- The SIMPLE step by step by proven method that E.H.Shattock used to heal himself.
Why We Need To Know How The Mind Affects The Body…
First of all,
I would like you to sit or lie down and relax, maybe take a few deep breaths.
I want you to imagine that you consciously have to make your own heartbeat and to keep its rhythm so that it can move the blood around your body.
This is your responsibility! Or your heart will stop!
But then something distracts you! You find out that your liver is not cleaning your blood properly.
So now you have to deal with that!
But your heart has lost its rhythm! So now you go back to getting your heart back into rhythm.
Then, you find that you are not producing enough blood cells.
I am sure you agree there is no way you could keep this up.
So what is controlling our hearts, lungs, liver and the thousands of other miracles that are occurring on a day to day basis?
In short, you’re subconscious Mind!
And this is where our healing power lies!
In fact, our subconscious mind is controlling 95% of what we do on daily basis. So we are only using 5% of our true potential. TWEET THIS
Here are some examples of just how powerful we can be…
1 – Heart and the Canoe
A patient with blocked arteries, after every other option was tried, was told by his doctor to visualise. For 20 minutes each day the patient imagined he was paddling through his arteries scraping and clearing any blockages. After a couple of months the x-rays showed his arteries were much clearer, and he did no longer need his wheelchair.
“Visualisation is good enough to improve performance in Olympians, so why not for us and our health?”
2 – Visualisation & Physiotherapy
A 2007 study by the University of Cincinnati looked at the power of visualisation. It found that, out of the 32 patients involved, the 16 in the group that received visualisation alongside their physiotherapy had more movement that the other group of 16 that only received physiotherapy.
“Visualisation can enable us to focus on our goal and the best possible outcome.”
3 – Imagine That!
A 2003 study by the Karolinsha Institute in Stockholm proved that when we imagine moving our fingers, toes or tongue, it activates the same part of the brain as when we actually move that body part.
“This study reminds me of the scene from the Quentin Tarantino film ‘Kill Bill’ when the main character successfully encourages herself to wiggle her toe.”
Now! This is only a small number of examples; there are literally thousands of occurrences each day of people healing themselves with their subconscious mind.
Remember, your mind and body are always healing itself, we could not stop even if we wanted to. TWEET THIS
If you cut yourself, it heals all by itself! You don’t have to think about it,
It just happens! Your subconscious is doing all the work.
I want you to read a remark from Dr Lamb from S.H.Shattocks book Mind Your Body:
In talking about arthritis, He says,
‘It is common to say that these joints become worn out. The theory of wear and tear, however, is in conflict with the general concept that protoplasm is able to replace itself.’ And later he says ‘if this is the case, learning to control the mechanism for turning on the instructions for regeneration and replacement should readily solve the problem of osteoarthritis and other degenerative problems of this nature in the body, making the wear and tear concept obsolete’
But there is elephant in the room!
Why aren’t we healing ourselves all the time?
I mean if this subconscious is so powerful, why are there diseases at all?
Without going into too much detail, all diseases are created when the body is out of sync with its own healing power. TWEET THIS
So Basically! All we have to do is get out of our own way!
And let your subconscious do its job,
So how do you get access to the healing power of our subconscious mind?
Well just like our friend E.H.Shattock, is through breathing and visualisation.
In fact, let’s try now!
How To Relax And Gain Access To The Subconscious Mind Through Visualisation…
For visualisation to be effective your mind and body need to be in a totally relaxed state.
As a certified hypnotherapist, total relaxation is the foundation for any hypnotherapy or visualisation session and is absolutely crucial in gaining access to the subconscious mind.
Ok! Let’s get started.
The relaxing technique I am about to share with you is a breathing method from E.H.Shattocks book
Mind Your Body, after that, we will then move on to a simple visualisation!
And is the very technique that Admiral E.H.Shattock used, that ultimately led to his full recovery of his joint pain in both hips.
Shattock’s Breathing Technique…
Firstly, you need to make sure your phone is off and the door is locked, basically, just make sure you will not be disturbed for at least 10-20 minutes…
Now, sit down on a reclining chair or couch, or the easiest position in which to relax…
Loosen any clothing, belt, tie etc. you could also remove your shoes?…
Once you are comfortable take 3 deep breaths, just to settle you down ready for the main exercise…
On your next inhale, count to 6…
Hold your breath for 3 seconds…
Then, while exhaling count to 6…
Repeat this sequence; try to keep the breath as deep as possible…
While also keeping a smooth rhythm.. breath into 6…pause for 3…breath out 6…
If you find that the 6 seconds is too long lower it to 4 seconds.
When you are in smooth natural breathing rhythm, start to consciously relax every muscle in your body…starting at the toes and slowly move all the way to the top of your scalp.
Stop and just feel how relaxed you are for a moment.
Now to make you feel even more relaxed, starting at your scalp relax every muscle all the way back down to your toes.
By now you should feel heavy and totally relaxed, feels good doesn’t it!
Only now do you start to visualise.
In fact, let’s try a visualisation right now.
The best way to experience visualisation is to visualise something that is familiar to you on a daily basis.
With that in mind, let’s visualise our own house!
It might go like this…
You walk though you own front door.
What can you see, hear, smell and touch?
Get into as much detail as possible
Take as long as you want, it’s your house!!
Then, only when you feel you are ready, gently come back to full awareness and maybe have a little stretch.
Now, try to set a time to visualise every day, the best time is when you are just waking up or just before you go to bed, just do what feels right for you.
Now, each time you practice the deeper you will go, and sharper the images will get.
Visualising your familiar surroundings not only gives you practice, which is essential to get results with visualisation!
It also helps you get into the details, which is going to help you in the next step.
How To Know What You Are Going To Visualise To Heal Your Joint Pain….
Now, this might sound really obvious!
But without a goal or knowing what you are going to visualise it’s going to hard to keep your attention on what you are actually visualising.
As stated before, when you visualise you need to get into as much detail as possible.
Let’s take our friend E.H.Shattock.
He went into so much detail on visualising his hip joints that he studied medical documents to find out exactly how a hip joint moved, how it looked and what nutrients are needed. Etc.
Now, of course, this is very extreme! And personally, think that you can get the same results without going into this much detail.
Having said that, you need to know the basics of what the problem looks like, simply do a Google search.
Let’s say a knee joint that is healthy, and another joint full of arthritis.
Take a good look at the difference between them both, where is arthritis?
Maybe read about how the knee joint works?
Basically, you want to get a clear picture in your own mind on how the knee joint works so that it will be easier to visualise later.
Let’s take a quick recap.
- You have learned how your mind affects your body and proved to yourself that you can heal yourself without drugs or painful surgery.
- Then we talked about how to access the subconscious mind with a relaxation technique from E.H.Shattocks book, Mind Your Body.
- From that we moved onto how to know what you are going to visualise and why it’s important to get into the details.
Now we are going to put all this together and move on to the last step…
